Canned Pumpkin - How long does...

I am totally guilty of this. I opened a can last month that was dated "best before 11/07. OOPS. I opened it and it smelled fine, tasted fine in the cookies. Since expiration dates are new (late 70's) there are some things I will let slide. Open the can and if it smells and looks like it should, use it!

My parents recently got a frost free one and hate it. They had a manual one for years and loved it. They have really noticed a difference in how long their food stays good. They said their ice cream get those crystals in it within a week of opening a carton, their meat gets freezer burned quicker, etc. We have two manual ones and love them. I don't defrost more than once every 18 months or so.

Did you end up making one? I was just over there and there are some very cool houses. I'd love to know which one was yours!

Would you get your hair colored...

I would go in for color but NOT highlights. Depending on what they use and if they are slow you won't get even color. I went to cosmotology school so I know how things can go. It's quick to apply color but slow to weave and highlight when your new.

I had Federal BC/BS and for most things it was pretty decent but goodness they, in my opinion, had a pretty nice scam working. The hospital they said I had to deliver at was ORMC which was no biggie but the problem came with the nicu. The nicu at ORMC was covered under their plan but the neonatalogists were not preferred doctors for the insurance plan. The only doctors in my area that were ...

Yesterday, my 8 yr old DD told me that magic isn't real, so Santa isn't real. So, I told her the truth. But, I also told her not to spoil it for her younger sister and brother.
Anyway, I thought the timing was interesting considering this thread.

My 7yo and 3yo sons both play the ds. However, they are not theirs. They belong to Mom and Dad. They do fine with playing it (even the 3yo). Their favorite game is actually Super Mario Brothers. Hope this helps.

Good luck!
Obviously I know where you stand. I hope your DH really thinks this through. Mentally prepare yourself to pay off this entire debt if he co-signs. Because that might be the situation. Best wishes!

I hate my smooth top, but I prefer gas. In fact we just put in a gas line for the future stove (which we won't get until this one dies-whenever that will be). I have canned on my smooth top without problems however.

Just another reason to avoid WalMart. An incident like this, sadly, does not surprise me. You should send a letter to corporate and complain. That employee should be FIRED!

It's difficult to tie santa and the Nativity. I guess you could do something about Christ gave us all and Santa is the wordly reminder of that.
As far as breakfast, kids are simple. Cereal, pancakes, donuts, maybe waffles. I know all carbs but 1 or more of these along with some yogurt and/or fruit as well as juice and I think you are good. If you are having to feed the whole ward then ...
