If you want to go to Washington State I would recommend Sequim. It is out on the peninsula. You can take the ferry across the sound over to Victoria, Canada. Sequim boasts 3 marina's, the longest natural spit, and it is just plain gorgeous. We lived there in the past, and DH grew up there. My in-laws actually just turned their big house (castle) into a vacation rental there. It is a really neat place to visit. Sequim is about 20 minutes...

We bought a double stroller when we had a almost 2 1/2 year old and a newborn. I think I would have opted for the sit and stand instead because the double is so big and the sit and stand can fit the newborn seat and it can still be used as a single stroller, without being too annoying, when your older child is no longer wanting to sit in it.

I bought the graco duo quattros and I love it! Its for my 31 pound 2 yr old and a 1 year old. It's easy to push and turn, and you can snap on up to two infant seats if needed. I bought it for a total of $209 at babiesrus but it was well worth it to me.

Just wanted express my sympathy. I have been dealing with migraines since I was little too. I wouldn't wish them upon my enemies. I used to wake up at 1 or 2 A.M. with an unbelievable headache. There was a certain point that if the migraine had been going on for too long, I would throw up. I second (or third, or fourth) being persistent with drinking water throughout the day, and then if a migraine came on, caffeinated soda, advil, and...

Mine started when I was 6. I thought my head was going to come apart. If I absolutely had to move, I would hold my hands together over the top of my head so it would stay together. I have a family history of them too. Keeping a headache journal, I discovered that mine result mostly from stress and too much sleep, though I have random ones thrown in here and there. Tylenol has never done a thing for them. Motrin takes the edge off if I take it...

The BEST Family Vacations
Published (2009-12-16 19:53:00)
Our best family vacations have been to Oregon as well. We went twice when I was a kid and most recently in 2008 with my kids. So fun and relaxing. I would do it over Disneyland or Disneyworld in a heartbeat. However, Hawaii sounds pretty great to me!

One of our favorite trips has been to Oregon! We drove from SLC, it was a long drive, but well worth it, we stopped and stayed in Pendelton the 1st night, then drove to Lincoln city where we stayed on the beach and just drove to the touristy towns we wanted to be in. We enjoyed being on the beach flying a kite and playing ball. The kids loved seeing the whales (me too actually). It was just ...

You could do a christmas bingo (use santa instead of bingo) with little christmas pictures on it. I'm trying to think of kindergarten ideas so I'll let you know if I find more.

That is so frustrating! I feel your pain!! My DD went through a similiar phase, she has mostly grown out of it, but we had plenty of fights about it. We have a family motto: "You live here, you work here!" This was just to help everyone understand exactly what you are talking about. Just because you didn't make the mess...doesn't mean you don't have to help clean it up.

My 7 1/2 yrs experience with sippy cups has lead me to ONLY buy Playtex sippy cups. My second choice if I had to make one would be Gerber. The rest don't last nearly as long or leak from the get go.

I would vote for a double stroller, one that the infant car seat can snap into (just like the travel system you already have). Most stroller brands make a double stroller that their car seats can fit into.

I'm looking for a cute, thrifty way to organize all the boots, mittens, hats and snowpants. What do you do?

I like to use Parent's Choice formula from Walmart. The milk-based one is exactly the same as Enfamil, but for a fraction of the price. The large can is ~$12. You can also call into the company once every 30 days to request a coupon.

I would just put him in underwear and tell him the diapers are all gone. I think he is ready if he is taking it off. My oldest was 3.5 when I got him trained and it took about a week of accidents but after that it wasn't really a problem. Also I don't know what kind of potty you are using but try one of the character seats that goes on the toilet with a stool. Make a big deal of letting him pick...
