If it has been well maintained and you continue to keep it well maintained there shouldn't be too many issues. They are machines and things can go wrong with any of the big 3 trucks.

check the fluid warm on leval ground with the motor running trans in park,the bubble part sounds like its overfull,the downshifting sounds like a seperate issue..

i think it was done that way because they want people to change the filter and not just the oil....

I've had a couple Goodwrench transmissions in vehicles I've purchased. Jasper probably has a website and they are one of the largest rebuilders. For my own stuff, I rebuild them myself.
