Lee Smolin predicted dark energy...
Published (2008-11-26 20:53:06)
DisplayAds("Right1"); I was just reading a 1995 paper by Lee Smolin arXiv:gr-qc/9505028 "Linking topological quantum field theory and non-perturbative quantum gravity" not such a catchy title, but contains some surprising things We all know the story about how Einstein put Lambda (cosmological constant) in the quations in 1916 and then found it embarrassing to have done so. And Lambda went into eclipse for many...

DisplayAds("Right1"); So, it seems that Dark Matter now takes up most of space. What does that mean? What exactly is Dark Matter and why did we miss it before? How will change astronomy? Educate me on this please.[:)] Thanks.

DisplayAds("Right1"); The Hubble Space Telescope has taken some of the best pictures ever of Saturn. The images show the planet's rings at full tilt during a setup that won't be repeated for many years. http://space.com/scienceastronomy/hu...rn_030909.h tml

DisplayAds("Right1"); http://xxx.lanl.gov/abs/hep-th/9910146 This is only 16 pages and in PDF so easy to print out. It is by Fotini Markopoulou and Lee Smolin and it is called "Holography in a quantum spacetime" I nominate it for the landmark eureka paper of 1999. String theory and branes are on the run, loop quantum gravity is in. This paper is ...

DisplayAds("Right1"); (1) Go ahead and save it with the shuttle. (2) Keep it in orbit (maintenance missions). (3) Let it burn up in the atmosphere. (4) Other. Heard this question posed on a radio talk show. The original plan was that, once its performance period was done*, a shuttle mission would be sent up to retrieve the Hubble and bring it back to Earth ...

I suppose I will have to list them again or can you read or even remember? I remember. And I remember objecting because solving the mystery implies being able to generate precise numerical calculations which your website does not provide.
