Just a quick correction for my dates in Patong ... I'm there from 7th to 12th December. (that is, assuming I can actually get to Thailand in the first place, I'm due to leave London in a few hours time and the PAD are playing-up at Suvarna-barmy!!)

Don Muang is a fair distance from Suvarnabhumi so unless the trouble spreads there it should be no problem taking your trip.. I guess Thai Air are also using Don Muang for all internal flights at present as well. Enjoy your trip!

love the system first time since many years in Pattaya much better then Phuket with the mafia still controlling the streets with tuk tuk.
