Thanks Nicke. This TV will be for watching sports, films, and also some console gaming (PS3, which also works as a blu-ray player for watching movies). At this stage I am leaning towards a Pioneer or Panasonic plasma....but will wait and see what is available early next year. I have a 2 x 24 inch LCD set-up in my computer room, so I can always have the forums showing on one screen while I do "work" on the other 5555555

I use Plasma at home and LCD (Full HD) in MTB. I am happy with both. I do think Plasma may have better black, black is black and not grey-ish as it can be on LCDs. Good for movies. If you intend to use it as a computer screen then I think LCD is better as it has higher resolutions and no possible burn in problem (If its still exists, I dont know).

Because Plasma tends to produce a lot of heat i would go with LCD,especially here in LOS. But,i still think the old tube style TV produces as good a picture at a fraction of the cost.

Like Bello, I also like watching sports a lot. Due to the maximum screen size I can have in my living room, I decided to go for a LCD model. Since a year, I have a Philips 32PFL9632D LCD tv in my home. It is a 1366 X 768 HD-ready model, with 3ms refresh rate and it is also a 100Hz one. I can only say that it is a great tv to watch sports. Also the fast moving ones. Every day again I enjoy the picture. Ohhh, tonight have footbon again. Better...
