Aslan got his second Master Agility CHampion title today and is now MACH2!! I wasn't expecting him to Double Q because of an injury he got this summer. However, he pulled it out of the hat. I ran him slow and conservative to help him adjust to being back after his injury and to ensure a Q. He did very well. He took a first and a third place. To get a MACH, you need 20 QQs (...

Sometimes I get bored when working on training, and I've been lacking creativity. Anyone want to share some basic training routines? __________________ Summer Fun! Rest in Peace Sammy and Kiki...we will always miss you....

Do they really help housetraining? My friend's 4-5 year old male rottweiler has been marking the house. He marked on the side of their bed the other day and they actually gave him away but the person who got him gave him back the next day. She is now ready to find him another home. I mentioned belly bands to her, but do these really work to help train a dog not to mark in the...

I was flipping through the newspaper today and saw there was a AKC dog show in the next town, ( about 15 miles ) away. Of course I just HAD to go. The show started at 9 and I got there around 10:30ish, just in time for the Golden Retrievers to show There were 30 blondies in the ring, all tails wagging. Well the one I liked the best got like 10th, so it wasn't too bad. ...

From a local forum I belong to... can anyone offer advice Help! Buster had his first raw hide today, he found it behind the couch and brought it up onto the couch to chew it. Mataya (my 4 yr old) started to pet his back and he growled at her! Then one of my 1 yr olds just WALKED by the couch and Buster tried to snap at him! I'm worried that if I don't take care of this now ...

I haven't posted this yet but Sunday at the dog park Gabby had some concerning behavior. There is a little Beagle x chihuahua cute as a button and probably about Maggie's size. The dog was very non aggressive/submissive and had been to the dog park many other times they were actually there the first time we came. Well Sunday Gabby went after this dog 2 times with really no ...

So I dislocated my knee today. Luckily my fiance was able to come home for a while and help out with Sherlock. He's been doing so well with the potty training. I can't really go up or down stairs and to get outside I have to go down like 4 stairs. Anyway, I asked my dad to help out while my fiance was at work tonight. I am beyond frustrated! As soon as he got here I had ...

Two questions, figured I'd lump into one thread. First-our new house has almost an acre fully fenced in. But..it is a 4ft chain link fence. Our dogs have never been behind a four foot fence and I'm pretty sure at least Skye, maybe Zoie, etc might be able to get over it. My grandparents are putting a smaller section of 6ft chain link before we get there so we won't have to ...
