> The reasoning was that if it could be included in the existing department then the IT people would not have to map the back office to a separate department. which they said to as a major pain in the rear. It still leaves me puzzled that the other site works just fine. Same version SW, same back office, etc.

> I actually have been searching for this. Do you recommend any particular ones? I noticed that most of these software providers have a large number of options. Since I just own one store, I am not looking to purchase a very complicated system. I just want to reduce the amount of paperwork I have, and keep digital formats. Do you recommend any for my particular use? Thank you for your quick reply.

> sort of like a paid in to the cw department...counting the coin box income then adding it to the ruby by using the cw key?... Set up a sep. key for a new department, that is the simple way around it.

> It shouldn't work at all. The CW department is literally designed to accept sales that include a cw plu not a "dept" sale to that dept. the workaround is to create a coinbox dept and use that for your tracking.

> I would't try doing it by yourself just by referring to what we say on the forum. I would call your service company and have them show you how to do it. Editing through the Ruby can be tricky, and you can really screw up the softkey file. If you use SMS then it's a little easier, but either way you need to have a tech show you how.

> 1. Make sure of the version of firmware in the Pam5000 - needs to be 410-27-1.05 2. If your firmware is at or above this version, then I can only recommend you removing your DCR's from the Pam 5000 and using a D-BOX. Crinds are not supported on a Pam 5000 for Verifone products.
