Hi All In the future I would want to retire the old exchange server but I am seeing an issue where the offline address book is still point the old exchange server. "default offline address list old exchange server true public folder" What would happen when I move the new exchnage server? Any idea on why it's still pointed to old exchange server? I have 1 exchange 2007 server and server with hub/cas. Also using blackberry...

I wasn't proposing a change of your internal domain. The second zone is all that is required. How often do you change the entries in the public zone? Most external zones contain three or four hosts at most. The admin overhead is minimal - however if that is unacceptable then there is nothing that you can do. However the problem appears to be procedural, not technical. The solution works, you may have to adjust procedures to allow it to be...

Sorry, my reply was misleading. I intended not say to change my AD domain from mydomain.local to mydomain.com but simply adding the second zone to my internal DNS servers. You're right, my problem is definitely a procedural issue. We currently have about 730 records for mydomain.com. BTW - I am now having a problem with OWA on one of my CAS/Hub servers. When i go to OWA in Firefox the page continuously tries and fails to load. If I try to...

Not sure about these statments... but liked the concept of: ■Hub Transport servers should NOT be the location for your File Share Witness. I have found the BEST location in my opinion is in fact Domain Controllers in the same domain as the Exchange servers. My “unofficial” Exchange Server 2007 CCR recommendations http://www.sysadmintales.com/2008/11...commendations/ Cheers Aravind

Has the Exchange server been upgraded from 2003 Exchange or the mailboxes moved from a 2003 Exchange server? Is this a single 2007 exchange box or is it in a cluster? Thanks Andy

Thanks for the effort, but that really doesn't help me. All you did was give generalities and tell me things I already know. We use ACT as our CRM, but I have no idea how (if) that would integrate with some kind of double opt in system. Theoretically, if they're in the database, they should already be confirmed and willing, but I think they just bought a ton of contacts and started emailing them. Sort of a separate issue altogether...

You do not need to implement any of the replication technologies to backup Exchange using an Exchange aware backup application. The error that you have posted is a pure permissions error. You need to go through what permissions the application has. There are articles on the Symantec support site on setting the permissions for Exchange 2007 backup. Simon.

I work for a small company and we do our own everything. We host our own exchange server and we do our own blast emailing. This is a problem when our boss does all he can to send as many bulk emails to as many people as possible. We have a list of about 20000 email addresses and he spends his days spamming as many as he can. If I had to guess, I'd say at least 30% are no good. He gets the ...

We have recently upgraded from Exchange 2000 to 2007 and one feature we used to have I cannot find where to turn it back on. Basically every bounce message our server sends used to be copied to the administrator mailbox which IT checked several times a day.
