That's so cool, really creative! It's fun to make something out of something else! I was going to suggest you anchor it to the wall, but see you've already thought of that.

That is really neat, I love the idea! Thanks for sharing, I may do something similar in my office/kitten room. You can get that type of bookshelf and yard sales all the time.

A Friend For Bits?!
Published (2009-12-07 23:34:00)
Bits probably wouldn't do too badly if I took him to a rescue group because it's less chaotic than a shelter. However, my search for a friend for Bits is HARD! Currently, I'm trying to find an adult cat that will suit Bits, but I haven't found one since the one I saw back when Bits was 6 months old! Sigh. I should have gotten him when I had the chance! Anyway, my boyfriend insists we get a younger cat so I've been...

Thanks for the warning, I didn't look at the pics, as I know they would haunt me, but want to wish you well with the new foster (um...wait....you said LIVE with you....hmmmm so maybe I should be saying Welcome Wakeman, and congratulations????? )
When Wakeman is looking well loved after being in your tender care, I will be looking forward to new pictures!

Beth have you discussed with her vet what a daze she is while on it? I ask because I am wondering if maybe the dose could be adjusted in order to help her but not make her so spacy. Maybe the dose needs to be lowered.

Oh boy I think this is a wonderful idea! An adult kitty, quiet and cat friendly, Bits would love it! Maybe a nice motherly calico or black and white?
That is a lot of solitude for Bits, even if he is already kind of used to it, and a companion would help keep him from being lonely and missing his mama too much.
If you can, schedule the Homecoming at a time when you have at least two, (...

I'd think Thyroid before diabetes. Is she very vocal? If she's always hungry and losing weight, hyperthroid is what I'd think of first.

Poor girl! I hope it really wasn't something someone did to her and just an awful accident and I'm glad it seems confined to her tail. My couple of experiences with tail damage as a foster has always led to amputation which take forever to heal but ended up being for the best. I'll be watching for updates.

Hi! first time post from a long time cat lover here. Hoping from some help, reassurance and suggestions.
Me and my girlfriend have recently taken in 2 cats, a brother and a sister aged approximately 1 year. They are rescue cats that were bottle fed as kittens. We are currently looking after the cats for a couple who are away traveling for 6 months.
The cats have only ever lived inside [...

I am very sorry you have to rehome your cats, but please don't advertise over the internet like this. Sick people cull the internet, including and especially craig's list, looking for people in situations like yours, and take the cats for laboratory experimentation or to do unspeakable things to them.
Are you going to be gone long? Perhaps you could find a long term foster situation. Or have ...
