I think now that it is just a matter of letting enough people know about it. I was wondering, do any Christians do yoga?

Starting to Believe Diet is not...

Perhaps a good conclusion to draw from this thread would be: One's success in losing weight/becoming healthier is entirely dependant upon whether the chosen method is compatible with one's basic values. A method based on fear will work for someone motivated by fear. A method based on love will work for someone motivated by love. The combination of the two are like oil and water, they don't mix. This actually clears a lot up for...

Fractured Pelvis - Help!
Published (2009-07-06 21:20:00)
Sorry to hear about your injury! There's no way to suggest exercises or other treatments without even knowing what type of fracture, location, severity, etc. My point is that you need to talk this over with your doctor. If it were me, I'd get a referral to a physical therapist. Good luck & hope you feel better.

Veg/Vegan and changing the world...
Published (2009-07-07 21:00:00)
Thank you Joy! My reply was not to ask for an apology, but to rather point out what we all seem to forget from time to time, and that is that we all aren't the same. I am happy that some people can thrive on a vegan diet, but just as many if not more will not thrive on a vegan diet. I believe we are best suited to eat whatever our recent ancestors ate. I agree people should not belittle what they have not tried themselves.I will say I get...

You can consult a trainer about what exercises could help. Focus on breathing and eating healthier and you'll probably FEEL better, even if you don't necessarily look better. If you positively cannot get over it, there is always plastic surgery.

The above was the title of an email I got. Please note that emails like this have one bottom line. It is "send me your money." So it does not give sources nor is it very scientific. It is from an MD, Jonathan Wrong! Actually Jonathan Wright. Rest of beginning of email says: "You've been told to avoid it at all costs. But-- This 'forbidden' food could be the biggest health breakthrough of ...

Hey everyone, I've been reading this blog since it's started, and have finally registered! Steve's blog originally inspired me to go raw - I have been raw for 6 months and it has changed my 21-year-old life. My life is about to significantly change, and I am concerned if I will be able to stay raw or not. I will be performing on a large cruise ship for 4 months in Alaska, then South ...

I was out of town for 10 days, visiting family and friends. I woke up each day just after dawn, took the dog for a walk, read the paper and prepared breakfast all before my early riser child got up. During the days I set small goals and accomplished them all. I found it not especially difficult to push through resistance to get things done. THEN, I got home and the whole thing started...

Got kinda inspired by these challenges people are doing so I'm gonna try one as well Starting with babysteps. Only 14 days for me as a starter! I'm kinda happy with my body (178cm, 69kg) but I think my progress in building muscles is held back by my habit of buying half a pound of candy about 3-4 times a week. So here are the things I'm gonna go for: - NO SWEETS & CHIPS (Candy, Ice Cream...

For years I've struggled with about 30 extra pounds. I've tried almost everything with varying success. This diet, that diet, this way of life, that way of life, counting fat, counting calories, no counting, no meat, yes meat, only meat, raw diet, veganism, no carbs, yes carbs,no dairy, yes dairy, no sugar, lots of sugar, natural whole foods, junk foods, lots of exercise, no exercise, more rest, ...

Now I am not one for diets, I think they are short lived and not very unstable but I figured out a way to loose weight that works for me. I started this new "diet" and so far I have lost about 6 pounds, I know that doesn't sound like much but it’s only been about 2 weeks since I started. It’s not really a diet per say, its more like a conscious lifestyle adjustment. It’s a way to get back to ...

I only need to lose about 5 pounds, and it's only around my midsection, so I can tell that my clothes don't fit like they used to. 3 weeks ago I started going for half-hour walks every morning (sometimes I walked for almost an hour) and I've also started dancing/jumping on my trampoline every night for anywhere between 1-3 hours. I've also started eating better (lots of fruit, raisins, vegetables...

I think that this guy John Stone is very inpiring. He was 42 years old and a bit overweight when he decided to start training. He documented it with daily pictures that he put online. Take a look! Hi, I have a question about Steve's blogging and twittering about how being a veg/vegan saves water and pollutants? How is that possible? I figured it would save water by not having to feed so many animals in the farms but that seems a bit stupid.
