Blown Motors, especially those with a conventional double rectangle Lower Discharge work better simply because in the regular situation (forward facing), because of the screw and Helix of the rotors they screw the Air to the front four cylinders, ever notice the New Fuel Dragsters ?. and how far back the blowers are moved ?, simple they are tring to balance airflow to the engines, turn the engine around, and you have inertial helping the...

rodney, i put the nozzles in my hat this weekend and i'm ready to do the preturb install. is there any certain distance from the inlet i need to be? i kinda like the idea of runnin no breather or filter, so i was thinking it'd be easy to drill and tap the inlet neck on the s480 for the nozzle.intercooler came in this mornin too, sob is huge!!! i'm sending it to my neighbor this afternoon to have the side tanks cut down on it and...

Something that keeps coming up that is bothering me.... There is no way you can compare anything that a hydro does to that of a jet boat, even a tunnel bottomed jet acts differently than a hydro. A true hydro relies on tail lifting HP and reducing contact with the water, a jets goal in life is to keep the transome planted to remain hooked up, a tunnel bottom does this very, very well, and entrapment tunnels can even be made to work. As for the...

What year is the motor ?
Does it have stock Merc exhaust ? Thru transom ? Any diverting exhaust ?
What's your budget ?
Just to put an early bug in your head, A crate 502 may end up being best bet when all is said and done.

Is there a difference in how you would build a Jet Boat engine vs. something for a V-Drive or other I/O setup? Not talking about drag boats or anything, just a simple family cruiser.

I take it that the cam is the solid roller. If so you are going to love this cam for hot rodding around. At 4500-5200 it starts breathing fire. It idles nice and semi easy on the valve train. Ran one in a car, I know it's not a boat but a 3300 lbs camaro with a 454 and a 1050 carb ran 9.60's at 145 mph. Soooo hang on and smile
