Merry Christmas everyone

I know I don't post very much but I do read the whole board.  I just wanted to wish everyone a MerryChristmas and a HappyNew Year.  The last few days I have been thinking about Carolyn, Bunnygage and her Bah Humbug. Kathy in Pennsylvania Home at last.   It's awfully nice to see you here, Kathy.  A Merry Christmas to you and your husband also. Are you having snow now in your...

Merry Christmas to One and All
Published (2009-12-23 18:00:00)
my daughter will be starting her final semester of college (student teaching) >>>   My youngest son will be starting his final semester after the holiday break too!  I didn't know that student teaching was the final semester...I thought it came after that.  He's been subbing for quite a while, on an ongoing basis at the same school, so I figure he's already...

I sent out a Christmas letter tonight via e-mail, but didn't want to post it here.  I know lots of you would be bored to tears by it anyway.  But if anyone wants a copy. e-mail me and I will send it. Carol The WoozerMom from Vacaville, CA

Holiday Eating Tips
Published (2009-12-22 18:52:00)
HOLIDAY EATING TIPS 1.   Avoid carrot sticks. Anyone who puts carrots on a holiday buffet table knows nothing of the Holiday spirit. In fact, if you see carrots, leave immediately. Go next door, where they're serving rum balls. 2. Drink as much eggnog as you can. And quickly. It's rare.. You cannot find it any other time of year but now. So drink up! Who cares that it has 10,000 calories in every sip? It's...

Sadness at holiday time
Published (2009-12-22 19:51:00)
My 34 year old son lost two friends within 5 days this week; I am sure it is the first time in his life he has been touched by untimely deaths.  One was a long-time girlfriend of a buddy who died of a rare disease suddenly and the other was a grade school/high school buddy who was waiting for a liver transplant that didn't come soon enough. (He was #2 on the list.)  Judy Hope you are having a good day!

When my boys were still home Santa always brought a new game and we all sat around and played it all Christmas day. I do not cook on Christmas day. The eve is our big meal. On Christmas day I used to pull out my homemade potato salad and roast a roast beef for sandwiches whenever someone was hungry. The kitchen table was always full of H'or Deuves and Christmas cookies for snacking all day....

I have been reading about your weather. Wow! You are right about the retailers. We have been having rain and fog here, and that's impeded shopping. (It not only frees up storage space in my house, it ...
