One more question: When clicking at a folder in the navigation is it possible to open a report by default, which shows something in the content area? Kind of an overview page for the reports below? Thanks a lot

Hi, I have downloaded cdf-de_0.2.tar, but i am not able to create the dashboard, in my console I am getting Loading File:/null/null/null, I am not able to understand what is happening. Please help me. Parveen

Hey Parveenh, I also purchased this CDF tut' today. The installer should set up the CDF samples including examples/lessons. Make sure you are using FireFox to view these samples. I've only done the 1st stage (How-to) stage but the guide seems to be extremely useful i.e. better than starting without a clue. Cheers, Mark Dathorne

Thanks for the reply Mark. It was that and some other issues I had. Ended up getting it running smoothly with IIS and MySQL though I might write a 3.5 install guide with IIS and MySQL when I hopefully have some time.

make sure the base url in your web.xml is set to be the same thing you are accessing the server with.
ie http://localhost:8080/pentaho then put http://localhost:8080/pentaho/
if you use http://192.168.0.42/pentaho then put http://192.168.0.42/pentaho

Dear Forum,
i used pentaho ver 2.0 and it worked well, but after i installed and run BI server 3.5 stable ..i cant access my user console. localhost:8080/pentaho (Unable to Connect) ..but the administration console can run well.
i tried to changed the port ( pentaho../tomcat/conf/server.xml) but doest work either.
when i executed start pentaho.bat , there was a different pop up ...

In the midst of the logging it appears that the c3p0 jar is not found.
Check if the file truly is not available and, if so, add it.

Yes, Pentaho can do this (I saw the web demo of it doing it...)
Bad:
I don't remember the address of the demo which shows how to do it.
In short, you build the customer report, and figure out the HTML address of the report, and put that into the HTML section when designing the report which you showed.

Hm, jetty does not know about datasource defined in jboss. Try this:

Hi,
are there any best-practises to manage a pentaho system with three instances for development, testing and productive use?
I mean you would have to manage databases and files with ETL- transformations, reports, Mondrian-schema etc. Does pentaho implement something like a standard way for versioning and transportation of these data?
