I had a 9800 GT. How is this Radeon? Finding low end cards is proving to be a pain, while the midrange cards seem to be very well priced in comparison. XFX Radeon HD 5770 1GB GDDR5 PCI-Express 2.0, 2xDVI-I, HDMI, DisplayPort, 850MHz

It was already built and I switched out the CPU cooler. The Corsair H50 is an all in one water cooling unit for the CPU.

risumon: No extra PSU's I'm afraid, we're thinking of replacing that and the motherboard. Ollibolli: The old hard drive may very well be corrupted. We do still have it connected as a slave, would that make windows crash? To reiterate, he had a 320gig that he used as a slave, just for space and whatever, while he used a smaller 160gig as the windows drive. He's pretty much swapped what they do, I think he got all the files...

If your pushing $200, I would just as well go into i5/i7 territory. Unless you hate intel or something. However, buying a Phenom II X2 555 for $110 and unlocking the other two cores would be a pretty sweet deal.

Take your dad down to the nearest Best Buy, have him do stuff on the computers there. Tell him to provide definitive proof that he can tell the difference between the fastest computer they have and the slowest. When he can't, smack him upside the head and tell him to stop trying to buy a NASCAR stock car to go to the grocery store once a week. Any low to mid-range Dell or HP will suit his needs just fine. He doesn't need 4 gigs of...

This post is limited to HDTVs (as lower-end 720p sets can be found as low in price as you want to go), and excludes CRTs, as that tech is effectively dead in the consumer market. I’m also going to completely omit front-projection systems as they introduce a host of issues completely irrelevant for all other TV systems. Important Specs Size – Measured from opposite corners, this...

Hey guys, dropping in here to ask some opinions on what you consider good camcorder brands. I haven't done a ton of looking yet, as i have no idea what to even look for. My little family is going to be growing soon and I'd like to be able to capture some of that in the future. I don't/won't have much money to spend on this item, but I'm thinking I should be able to find something ...

Hi guys, I'm running my head against a wall here. The last couple of days I've been trying to to do this converting for some video files to play on my xbox, but it is apparently not as straightforward as I had hoped. I've converted MKVs before, even dual-audio ones, but these just aren't working. I'm running Arch Linux, but the tools are pretty much what you'd use in a Windows ...

Apologies if I missed this, but I searched back for a month and didn't find anything. So Apple's long been rumored to release some sort of tablet. The company's revealing "a new product" next week, so tablet rumors are reaching fever pitch. In fact they're starting to hit the mainstream media, so it's looking like there's something to this. In today's Wall Street Journal, the ...
