I live in South Central Alaska and that is a very popular gun around here. Most use it or carry it while hiking, canoeing, camping for bear protection. It is ideal for that due to it's compact size and ideal caliber. I had the oppurtunity to shoot one a few weeks ago it had an ACOG style sight on it, it packed a punch but shot very nice at 50 yds. Check out Wild West guns in Anchorage they trick ...

I bought one when I was in Ohio at Fin Fur & Feather north of Columbus. No paperwork, pay the money and out the door.

I have the spikes tactical conversion and its great and i was very suprised how accurate conversions are. Well worth the $200ish they cost. Most conversions work great with the cheap federal bulk pack 22lr ammo sold at walmart which is copper plated.

For a semi-automatic I would suggest an SKS. They are fun as could be and if you add a Tech-Sight peep sight it is very accurate and a hoot to shoot. The thing is given how high prices are compared to a year ago and how much they have dropped on AK's you may want to pick up an AK(WASR) for a little more. This of course will then increase the price for magazines but they are fairly cheap. You can ...

hey buddy, i am a fan of the ohio ordnance receivers, but i'm sure some nodakspud fan will be along to bash them in a minute or so. ohio ordnance makes their receivers in 2 types, for 47 and for 74, with different ejector lengths. they don't drill any trunion rivet holes, so can be used for any pattern build.
