This all comes down to your lawyer and the jury. Sure, you felt your life was in danger and felt you could not not safely retreat so that's why you drew and shot this guy...to stop the threat of him shooting, possibly killing you. Seems perfectly clear. But, your lawyer has to convince the jury of that.

Your very question concerned me a few weeks ago. I settled that problem by getting my wife LTCF. She got hers in 28 days but it took me the full 45 days.. Go figure.. lol. But its best to get your wife LTCF because there are days when I go out and my wife will pick up the guns before I go out with the boys... PS: I do not take my glock with me when I go out with the guys.. NEVER!!. That would just create problems while drinking..

I truly appreciate the seriousness with which you are taking your instruction and potential duties. Sadly, for reasons just like the one's you are citing, many of us simply expect to lose in MDJ court on these types of issues and have an inevitable appeal to the CCP, where "real" due process is far more likely to occur.

Thanks for posting. We're lucky to have a sheriffs department like that. In fact I believe most of the people that work in the courthouse are OK too. When my Mother went in for jury duty they went out of their way to help her. I just wished the mayors office was better staffed particularly the mayor.

I've OC'd at numerous police stations. Never a problem other than a few dirty looks. Municipal property is generally preempted save for places prohibited by law such as court facilities, etc... You will not be allowed to carry in any detention areas, but you prob won't be allowed in those areas *at all*, unless you're being processed through them. PSP may differ if the ...

Simple. Revolver in holster, holster on belt (or in pocket if pocket holster). Drive or shoot, do not try to multitask. A moving vehicle has some serious stopping power, offers some protection and is not easy to hit.

Well, I have come up on the anniversary of that horrible evening in New Castle, Delaware. It has been one year since those two punks surprised me in my own driveway and jammed a gun into my ribs and demanded my money, and I returned the favor of surprise by shooting one of them point-blank in the chest, making them both flee back to their home.... It all still seems so unreal when I think ...

IIRC, you cannot renew early. If you change your DL to something other than PA then you cannot get a resident LTCF but you can get a non-resident LTCF (go through the Centre County Sheriffs office, it's easiest). If you have an AK LTCF (or whatever they call it) you can carry in PA.
