"When I went over to the dealer and asked if they had forgotten to put oil back in after the oil change...the guilt was all over their face, but they would not admit it." Very nice, but this shop is not a "dealer" with a bunch of minimum-wage mechs, it's an excellent independent Porsche shop with just three experienced techs, not counting the highly experienced owner, and they don't "forget to put the oil...

Lambda temperature switches are not "thermotime" switches. A thermotime switch does not need an ECU and early versions of 911 CIS basic, that have no ECU, also use thermotime switches. On your car, its sole purpose is to prevent flooding. What edition are you reading from, my 1991 edition does not have these errors? First, no 911 with CIS has any sensors in the cylinder head. The thermotime switch is in the left side timing chain...

Cool, I must have missed it earlier but sounds as though you've decided to spray it yourself. I love your project - bare bones business... Looking forward to the future updates. Hope it is done soon. Looking forward to seeing the car with paint... One suggestion FWIW... I saw a longhood this weekend at Palooza that got me to thinking about a paint scheme... What if your stripe was the whole ...

You need three things for ignition: air, fuel and spark. Which one are you missing? Are you saying you are not getting spark? How about fuel? Did you adjust your valves and perhaps adjusted an intake valve too tight losing compression? Or perhaps too loose so it doesn't even open.

Do it! works great to move the shift knob closer to the lever. You can even bend it back a bit if you are tall and have the seat all the way back.

I'd look into "rota fox" aka moses fuchs before the euromeister version. (the search button is your friend) That said if you are DE'ing the car - I would look for some original fuchs or bbs wheels for the track.

not necessary to replace copper washer. fuel should not be spraying with the engine not running. check to see if you sensor plate is stuck in the housing under the rubber boot. i have seen issues with rust in the fuel tank fouling the fuel distributor causing the pin inside the dist. to stick on. lots of the older cars have fuel tank issues contaminating the system. to find out if you have ...

The wur only gets power when the car is running and the alternator is charging. When the alternator starts charging it closes the relay to provide power to the wur.

40mm carbs would be appropriate for a street-driven 2.7. This describes the diameter of the throttle bores,.......
Indeed, Richard (or any of his dealers), will pre-jet the carbs according to the specifications provided at the time of order and they will be pretty close.
Its imperative that you install and set them up correctly to assure a successful outcome,...

I raised the spindles on my Konis. I could only get 17mm before the diameter of the wheel was a limiting factor (15"). The shape of the strut tube will only allow 26mm maximum. Bilsteins are single OD and could be raised more.
Any amount you can raise will help lower the roll center of the car. you will only notice changes bump steer if you lower the relative position of the tie-rod. ...

2-Sounds like an informed buyer. Good for him for being on the ball.
You should suggest that he joins Pelican, even if the deal falls through.

I have the same identical setup except I am using JRZ RS front and rear double adjustable shocks, in leiu, of the Bilsteins. Also, I do not have the ASP setup but may get later if you are happy with yours. I think the ASP may allow for easier alignment setup in the rear.
I am very happy with my ER suspension setup. Make sure your outer spring plate covers are in good shape. Mine were a ...

The car is apparently not 'factory' but if you like it, that is what really matters. The price is what I paid for my m491 but it was pretty rough 4 years ago. I've read that the front needs the chin spoiler to go with the tail or it gets squirrely at speed - maybe not an issue for work transportation. That is my 2 cents, I hope others will give you more guidance.
edit: mileage will be ...
