Unwelcome Contacts From The...

How much of your profile can a non-friend see on Facebook? I've got the psycho I mentioned earlier and a few ex-girlfriends running around that I want no contact with and don't want them to know where I live (even what state would be too much information).

Why not a short stint in the Military? Nothing better on a resume than having been a Naval or Marine Corps officer...and you'll see the world for free.

History of Physics Poll

Dunno, I voted General, but it was a guess. I was an engineering major, so I've had a bunch of physics (even though I don't remember Einstein ever coming up in any of it in college). I did write book reports on a biography of Einstein in the 7th grade and again in the 8th grade, but that's a long time ago.

i know pole barns here typically have a silver 'bubble' insulation to deal with condensation. not sure exactly how it works but back when we were exploring a pole barn this was a part of the proposals.

I discovered VH just before Diver Down" came out. I was hooked then.
I heard " Hang em High" on the radio today and it brought back some great memories.
I found this ditty which is probably my favorite VH tune. What's yours?

Very cool. Serious "penalty" for an "off" in some of those turns! I have driven up the Peak twice, the last time in a Malibu rental car...at far slower speeds, & my wife was still freaked out by the drop-offs.
I haven't looked it up, but I believe the record run is 10:08 or something close to that. In fact, Rod Millen may hold the record in that Toyota single-seater "special" he used to ...

What I thought was going to be a right turn, ended up as a U-turn, and the car ended up in front of me.
He looked like he was going to turn right onto a side street. I was following behind him about 20 feet, 30 feet maybe. We were doing no more than 10mph on a road that heads into a parking lot. No thru traffic. His car started to turn to the right as to go up a lane with some parking in ...

With the job market the way it is, those with background may be elbowing to keep the available spaces.
You mentioned travel and volunteering. If school costs are not an immediate issue, the military/peace coprs sounds like a way to travel, do good in the world, and gain some breathing space after 5 years of lecture halls.
A resume with hands-on experience looks better than a book resume....
