Another Factory Locker Q

if your talking about a vacuum supply line? any vacuum line would do and the only thing a check valve would do is stop the locker from disengaging when the car is off.

Deisel or petrol/lpg

I wanted a diesel but ended up getting Petrol/LPG and am 100%happy with it. Even on gas, it has ample power to pull a couple of tonnes up a dirt hill without any issues.

I dont know where this stereotype came from about 4x4 drivers. I know when im on the road im mindful that im driving a heavy lump of steel, i have blind spot mirrors and i do a head check , and i drive carefully, as do most people, i agree that this could of been avoided, i left a comment saying when im being overtaken i always slow down so im clear of the overtaker, and thats not just in the troll, i used to have a 2dr sportie car and did the...

I can put my dismantled and tied down hardtail mountain bike over my camping gear in a SWB but..... You say you will do 450Km a week. Around town in a TB42 that will be 85-95 litres of petrol a week. Not a good idea, so people change to gas (or buy a diesel). Assuming you go gas, you need space for a petrol tank as well as the gas tank (which replaces the original petrol tank). In a shortie there is only room for a 35 litre petrol tank...

I think the 3L and 2.8's had weaker gearboxes (out of 300zx), but I think that's the only driveline difference. I'm sure someone will correct me if that not right....Lots of tough GQ comp trucks with standard running gear in them, so they are pretty tough.

series 1 GQ utes (MQ looking cab) all the ones I have seen have been leaf sprung TD 4.2
now what I am wondering about is the engines in these,as a few of my mates have them and been 4wd'ing with a few others and for some unknown reason they all seem to absolutely fly

On mine:
Changed the supposedly 4" springs in the front for some actual 4" springs. Funny, it sits about and inch and half lower now. At least it's level now.
Took the old cable off the PTO winch, and put on a brand new Warn high-mount cable. All 48 metres of it fitted on with room to spare..
Was going to take the rear swaybar release mechanism off to figure out how to extend...

I am guessing your trying to say that your lower arms are bent. For a 5 inch lift you 15mm longer lower than stock below are the ones I am running.

Hi mate, there is an Idler arm Bearing (pully) mounted to the motor, there are a couple of different ways that it is mounted depending on the car, the year, the motor.......
I have seen the idler arm as an adjustable arm below the aircon, and another pully mounted to the block. It seems that some of the Mavericks and Patrols had "After Market" aircons fitted after import and yiou will need to...

hey all
just wondering how different people have extended their bumpstops. the front looks like i should be able to bolt a block similar to a body block to the bottom spring plate. and have extended the rear 25mm already at the top but will probs need more with the new long shocks about to go in. was thinking a couple of bits of 1" plate bolted to the diff part of the bumpstop.
but im open ...
