no, it should be okay. As long as you can send papers showing you will remain in the country legally (current L1 and extn application receipt) and be employed at the time.

It's sad that your Mom just got a 3 month stay. Unfortunately, taking care of a new born and helping with child birth are not grounds for asking for an extension. More than likely, her application will be denied.

B2 Visa for Parents using L1...

Sing: Thanks for the info, but the problem in my case is we have a 3 months old kid, am planning to take her L2 through my wifes L1. If we both go together taking my kid, during immigration there might be a question of who is going to take care of the kid? This is the reason, i planned to take my parents in my sponsor. During immigration will they accept if i say that we are planning to hire a baby sitter??

When you enter the consulate a VFS person will collect and arrange all
documents. Ask them that you wish to change that answer. The only one that
matters is the last date of denial. Have that corrected.

What is complicated?
You can apply for a visa. Just that your youth and your unemployment might go against you. I don't know if checking out universities is a valid enough reason; most people get enrolled first and then apply for student visas.

There is no specific amount prescribed for a minimum balance to be shown in
your account. The safe bet is to show a minimum balance of 10,000 dollars
for them.

Hi,
I am with L1 visa which is going to expire by December 17th 2009. My company is in process of extending my L1 Visa.
My question is - I am about to sponsor visitor visa for my in-laws now. Is there any complications in sponsor ship as my L1 visa expires by Dec 17th 2009 and it is in process of extension.
Thanks in advance.

Very much possible.
These are the things which must be paid attention by the visitor herself while the I34 date were issued, so she could have requested for longer duration.
You can apply for an extension if you want. read here

Business visa also depends on your employers backgroud, income, history etc.
So even if there is noting wrong with your interview or information, it may be the employer factor.
You are not the only one there are many other people who has this kind of refusals. Try again..

Either is fine, although H4 is easier to get if her job is legitimate. But
B1/B2 will be independent of her status and you may use it later even if
she is not on H1.
