Kenny is right. I would also add that if you like DIY then this car will be easy to work on. Buying parts on line and doing the work yourself can save you 50% to 75% depending on if you are going to an indy or a dealership. The control arms fail fairly quickly especially the UCAs. Make sure you get a report from the dealership to see if all of the recalls are up to date.

I'm glad you posted the question. There were a couple of things there that I wasn't exactly sure on, and it's better to be sure than to sit and wonder. It was too easy to get carried away with the fun to be had with acronyms! ROFLMAO

Thanks for your help guys. I'm a semi-diy'er. I can only do small things due to the limited amount of tools I have. I'm thinking that this isn't right for me to have right now just because I don't have the income right now. I appreciate you guys time and help. Thanks-Alex.

If it is a sedan there will be an amp hanging from the underside of the trunk, if you have a wagon there will be an amp inside the right hand fender well behind the door that the CD change is in. That said if you don't find the amp you will not have the monsoon system

Hmm, I wouldn't necessarily say Passats are cheap to own, it's like a love/hate relationship with these puppies..but from personal experience I can tell you the love overcomes the hate coil packs are also another issue that they tend to have. Good luck!

Looking good man. I don't like your taillights at all though. At least paint them black or something. That alteza look does not work on these cars.
