Class Or Crass? BMW Concept ActiveE
Published (2009-12-17 15:17:00)
Six months into its Mini E field test program, BMW is getting ready for phase two of its electric vehicle development. At the Detroit Auto Show next month, the Bavarian automaker will introduce its Concept ActiveE which brings electric drive to the Roundel. This time, instead of the diminutive Mini, these new teaser images suggest that a 1 Series coupe is set to go the plug-in route. With the Mini E, BMW rushed to get the cars out into the...

VAGCOM equivalent for Porsche?
Published (2009-12-20 21:52:00)
As far as I know it doesn't. I had my parents buy it for their Boxster (since I ended up being it's De facto mechanic) Good product to have around though. Works very similar to VAG-COM.

Advice needed.
Published (2009-12-18 09:16:00)
In Dec '06, I had: - '05 wagon - FWD - 10" of snow in a day - zero problems getting around That said, 5MT 4MO is rare. That said about rarity, the correct financial answer is to always stick with what you've got. That said about fiscal responsibility, get what you want. I recently let a car get away from me (about three days ago) and I'm absolutely kicking myself right now.

nice toaster honestly though, these newer X-b's are miles better than the older much more square bodies. my father went test driving them a while ago (possible first car for my sister) mostly for S&G and said they drove surprisingly well. what made you chose the xb in particular? what attracts you to them? the design oddity?

Holy thread revival. I know a few people mentioned pennies/quarters out the sunroof/over the shoulder (on bike), so I wanted to add that marbles work very well too, and are cheap.

And one wonders why GM is where it is now.... My buddy and his uncle both have a thing for GM's 350 diesel. His model of choice was the Olds Cutlass Brougham Wagon. ( A personal favorite of GM's 80's stable. I like the smooth sloping back and tail lamps in the bumper). Anyway, he put about 150K on one of them; any long roadtrip required a spare fuel pump; it was easy to replace on the fly. He ...

Having driven a Viper around Watkins Glen, then being driven around the same track in an ACR, all I can say it the ACR was the most brutal car I've ever been in. The package is simply awe inspiring. I almost don't care what it looks like!
