So sorry, this must be very tough for ds. Aside from what you mentioned, protective clothing- now there are quite a few SPF clothing options, hats, sun glasses, what about an umbrella? Would he use one? Maybe you could find one with cool designs? Good thing many attractions are indoors and lines are undercover. We like to get to parks early at opening, then leave mid day for a swim break and to hang out at our resort, then go back to the parks...

Actually, thinking about it ... I wish I were eleven or twelve again, so I could be a kid on that Pirate cruise. Sadly, as it turns out ... DGF has veto'd the cruise idea. She's convinced the fireworks would still be way too loud, and then she'd be stuck there, in themiddle of the lake.

Sit in the back and head out when the fireworks start. Watch the fireworks from the Standing Room section and you'll beat everyone out of the theater

I follow the crowd predictor calendar at Touringplans.com fairly closely -- and it's never given bad advice for us. Just know that he doesn't recommend EMH parks because he's going on the assumption that you only have base tickets, not park hoppers. If you have hoppers, then going to EMH mornings is wonderful and you can "hop away" to the recommended park of the day once the crowds start to build around...

agreed - if you are worried about the kabooms I would think because its inside and far enough away getting a dinner reservation during fireworks at California Grill would be good for you. Just make sure you check the calendar for the fireworks time, so that it coincides. It's usually the same time every night, but better safe than sorry!! have fun!!!!

Check out the following store Tilley Endurables - The Finest Hats and Travel Clothing in the World They carry a large selection of UV protective clothing and a great line of hats, many of which have wide brims. I have one of their hats as I suffer from migraines that can be triggered by overly bright lights and having one of these hats has been a life saver.

I haven't done it myself, but others here have reported the following:
Call 1-407-566-4985 and choose Option #2. (From 8:30am - 4:45pm EST.)
You can also email your inquiries to: ticket.inquiries@disneyworld.com
You will need your ticket in front of you - if it's on a Disney resort key card, the number they need is the 079 number sequence. If it is a paper ticket, they need W

Well, you have to allow time for the train ride to get you there, and then
the long walk to Rafiki's (I'd say 10 minutes for that portion). Once
you're there, depending on what activities you want to partake
in...character greetings, petting zoo, animal exhibits, Sounds of the
Rainforest, etc. will depend on the time you allow for yourself. We usually
only spent about 30 minutes there, and I ...

If you're watching the fireworks in the actual Magic Kingdom, you're not going to smell gunpowder, but it will be loud. If you're looking to avoid the noise, I'd recommend the beach at the Polynesian resort or the dock outside Narccoosse's at the Grand Floridian.

If you go to the specific park from the top drop down menu you can see Dec hours for Magic Kingdom. Although I don't see any info listed for any of the parks in terms of parades, shows, etc.

Fireworks Schedule????? Has anyone been to WDW this week that can tell me, about what time the fireworks actually start? I have some ADRs that may or may not coincide with the times. I don't want to miss a thing!!!!
This time next week I'll be enjoying my first trip to WDW!!!!!!

YC is a resort, so, you should be fine! , double check the resturant
listings, because they will tell you what resturant is in a park.

I think there is a show that started a few weeks ago, on the Liberty Bell in MK that features Princess Tiana! DD is going crazy for her, I bought her Tiana pajamas on Friday, and she has basically refused to wear anything else!
ETA: Here's the AllEars write-up about the show. Tiana's Showboat Jubilee (The âWorldâ According to Jack)

Definitely not. Its not that warm in Florida beginning of December. We went in 2007 for the first two weeks in December and it was only warm enough to swim 1 day and even at that people thought we were nuts. You can truly see where people come from if they are in the pool in December or not....lol.
Have fun!!!!!!!!!!!!
