I just finished "The Crowning Glory of Calla Lily Ponder" by Rebecca Wells ( Ya-Ya's). I enjoyed it very much...uplifiting, funny at times. It was an easy read, too, which is always a bonus.
Tonight I'm starting "The Lost Symbol" by Dan Brown.

Holiday Movies/TV shows Just wondering what is some of your favoirte tv shows or movies for the Holidays. Are there any new releases ( made for TV movies) that is really good?
For me, A Christmas Story is the ultimate Christmas movie and we also like Christams Vacation. I love Frosty and the Rudolph claymation also.

Yay for the Globetrotters - lucky devils! They really found the flag quickly. I'm so thankful my team is still in it. I think they can overcome the speed bump (especially if it's as easy as the poker girls'). Nobody did anything extremely dumb this week, so it was a good show.

I haven't seen it yet. I'm dying to, but not sure if it was something that DS could handle and I appreciate your input on it also being "dark, scary" so I think it's a definite 'out' for us, because I dn't want to go w/o DS.
But looking forward to it on DVD.

I thought Hallmark was bad -- till I saw a Walmart one today.
It's snowing in the desert and the soldiers are in awe. Then we see a little girl leaving Santa and she says she asked for "something for Daddy."

DBF and I really enjoyed it. We have been looking forward to it since we both were big fans of the original miniseries. We really enjoyed how they reinterpreted the series.
