We are leaving for the airport in a few hours. I can't believe that it is finally here! Nicholas (DS6) was up until midnight last night - he said that he was too excited to sleep. Thanks to everyone for answering my questions and celebrating with me. See you all when we get back!

That sounds very cool. We were just thinking of doing a 5 night/4 night with the new ship. So just to clarify, with a B2B they let you back on the ship before everyone else? If so, that's very cool! __________________

Note that US Customs doesn't let you bring opened bottles back into the country, so only bring what you can reasonably expect to consume on board.

BOOKING ONBOARD FOR NEXT CRUISE
Published (2009-11-30 09:08:00)
Hi Michele! Disney does typically offer some kind of incentive for booking onboard. It usually is an onboard credit, reduced deposit or discount. It can be one of those or any combination. Once you book onboard you usually have 7 days to place your deposit. If you are working with a travel agent, you can ask Disney to include them on the reservation. Hope this helps!

I would book the car now and look for discounts. We did Budget on the way down, and Avis on the way back. Budget was about $150, but that was for Wed. night thru Sat. morning. Avis was about $43 on the way back (we dropped off at MCO about 2 PM). There's no penalty for cancelling car rental ressies as long as you don't choose the "pay now for cheapest price" option.

Yes, you can bring the snacks on board. You can even bring drinks if you wanted.
When the kids were younger, we found it helpful to have a few familiar snacks available. Plus the smaller portions were good, too, as we all tend to overindulge on board!

The shops near the dock should accept both US and local currency, as well as credit cards. However, they may give change in local currency, so try to have small bills if you're paying cash.
We left our passports on the ship. My husband and I used our drivers' licenses as photo ID to reboard the ship, and I carried a photocopy of the back page of all of our passports with me while we were ...

I made ours, I got Magnetic Printer Paper from Staples and designed mine using Photoshop printed it on the special paper and also made signs for different themes such as pirate night, and castaway cay day etc.
You could also hand drawn them and get magnets to attatch to the back at Wal-Mart have done that as well.

You can bring any alcohol (or other beverages) as long as it's in a carry-on. I brought two bottles of spirits in my backpack. I've even heard of people bringing cases of beer.
On the planes they have to be in checked luggage though. So if you are bringing something from home and arriving by plane you'll need to switch it from checked to carryon

Sounds a little like vertigo. The motion of the ship may have been bothering your inner ear. Have you ever had vertigo on land? I have benign positional vertigo, not fun, I'll tell you. Every once in a while, if I stand up too quickly, I feel the way you described. Funny, though, it's never bothered me on a cruise (thank goodness!).
The treatment is heavy duty doses of a dramamine-like med...

I got two questions for ya :]
Does anybody know if there are any discounts you can get booking B2B cruises? Whether through Disney or an agent.
Also, any experience with B2B cruises? Was it a hassle getting off then on? Any input would be appreciated!

You will see all level of dress for formal night, from very informal to top of the line. I wore a nice dressy pant suit, myself. You will be fine in your knee length dress if that is what you want to wear.
