That section of Hwy 58 (and all of 14 395 etal) can get so very nasty so very fast (it ain't called Sand Canyon for nothing). I have been blown across two lanes in a 40' prisoner bus...a motorcycle would have been parked or wrecked. Watch your 6 (3, 9, and 12 as well) out there. Maybe Gail (Cycle Specialties Modesto) will come to the courtesy phone re: the hook ups as they carry Gerbings. You just know that these will not be your...

I'm not big on radar detectors, so I rarely mount mine (Passport 8500) on the bike. Wish I had a few weeks ago, though, while riding through Maine. I got nipped for 71 in a 55 out in the middle of nowhere. I had just accelerated out of a country motel parking lot and was getting up to speed on a two-lane road and overdid it a bit. I looked down at my speedo, got off the accelerateor immediately, checked my mirror, but it was too late....

Having lived in Tehachapi and Bakersfield and spent tons of hours out there, in year round riding - snow, sleet, rain, heat and I can tell you about the wind-- I never even thought about having heated gloves -- I only wore non insulated gloves I got from Pat Ryan at Bakersfield Motorcycle Supply(one of the best pair of gloves I have had) someday when I get old -- maybe I'll need them, but right now my Tourmaster Elites came my hands warm...

Freezing Badgers Bob...I thought you had gone to electric gloves long ago for your mutant hand. The glove hook up is IMHO the only reason to buy a jacket liner as opposed to a vest. I'd like a glove liner though, did you look into that?
Stop on by sometime and I'll break out the leather conditioner to soften those right up.

I'm assuming it applies 24v to the starter when you hit the switch? Not a good idea if that's the case. 24v won't hurt the starter short-term, but if something bad happens to that harness, you could have 24v ...
