I looked with the magnifying glass. It has some large ridges gnawed into it. It's my 'neighbor.' When I went out there they were banging on it with a hammer and he yelled at me "Dave, why won't my front wheel come off?" I guess they thought it was like the old British cars, knock off hubs. ? Maybe I should move. dc

1986 Honda nighthawk 700 s and yes, I suppose I could trailer it. Umm so far I have no idea what it needs. To start with - a battery and a tune up probably some new tires.

It's supposed to be a 24mm, but that's obviously not working. Is the tool entry point boogered up in any way?. Stock axle, or aftermarket?.

I use the bike for commuting all day in stop and go traffic in Los Angeles so part of my preventative maintenance is using fuel & oil additives, I've been using BG-44 for years with good results until I found a product called Liquimoly that has carb/ valve cleaner, fuel injector cleaner and a molybdenum fortified oil additive that is safe for wet clutch. I do not benefit in any way from sales of these products, I just use them...

One of the guys I worked in the Spacecraft Assembly Facility with on Cassini was here the other day for our annual Egg Nog ritual. The bike is still undressed and shivering under her cover in the carport. Rain came, then cold, then I caught a cold, now Christmas and soon I'm moving! My buddy drooled when he saw the broken plastic. Like me, he wants to fix! Ahh... the search for the exquisitely perfect fix... He wants to take it in to...

Looks like the rear brake pads are worn out. As you use up the pads, the caliper piston stays out next to the pad and the brake fluid level drops to take up the space. Get your self a new set of pads and replace the old ones. As you compress the caliper piston back into the housing, the brake fluid level will rise in the reservoir. If the fluid is over 3 years old you should change it also, but ...

Don't know how much stuff you need to take off to change the air filter on a VFR,but maybe something isn't connected right. The K&N air filter will flow more air. The ECU might be adding a richer fuel mixture to compensate for the additional air charge. Just a guess. I would put the stock air filter back on If I still had it and re-check mileage. I have a K&N filter on my truck and car,and it's a...
