Our foster children both had dummies they occasionally use, they came with them you could say, by which time taking them away would be too stressful as they were small babies. Our oldest doesn't anymore, if you celebrate christmas (with santa), you can leave the dummy for santa, that way a little baby can have the dummy and santa will leave a special present to say thank you for the dummy. We sent Jade's off the fairy's, we got...

My daughter had a pacifier for a while. She really wanted a Build-A-Bear. We convinced her that if she gave up her pacifier then she could have a bear. We took her to Build-A-Bear and told her that if she put her paci in the bear then she would always have it with her. It worked. She hasn't even asked for her paci since then and she is not even that attached to the bear.

Actually it should be capitalized, but only if you are using it in the form of a name. Used as a title, it should not. For example: My mom gave me a ride to school today. (a title) Or Mom gave me a ride to school today. (a name, the way you would talk about your mom to a sibling for instance) Could you ask Mom to help me find my shoes? (another example) Or like "Go help Daddy clean up your toys" Yep.

At four you could make it an event, he is more then capable of understanding. The baby fairy, santa....all of those could exchange the paci for a surprise. The days following won't be easy but they shouldn't be to bad. Try structuring those days so there is very little down time...that's how all of mine broke thier need for them, I didn't do it intentionally it just worked out that way. Good luck, it requires a bit of...

Not your fault dude. He was trying to be independent and do it himself without your knowledge...not your fault at all. I'm glad that he's ok now... did you end up going to the hospital? Or did pumping him full of sugar solve the issue?

I'm confused about this. You don't have a friend or teacher who could help him in real life? The sentence when corrected should look like this: My elder sister got the flu last weekend.

Unfortunately, you're going to run into that issue. Delaney sits and watches Spongebob, Dora, etc. and I can't believe some of the stuff they say. Usually, I sit and watch with her and say "Spongebob shouldn't have said that, huh, because that wasn't nice." Seems to work ok for her.

Where are you from?? Give more examples of the situation (the picking on). My first impression is a principal who offers his own time (hiking) is not bad. Maybe not the proper thing to do. But not a bad thing to offer. I dont disagree. You needed to be in the loop. If you are from the US. I wouldnt think you would have a problem changing schools. The psychologist may be correct.
