Hi, and welcome to the Palm Support Community.   If you have been keeping up at all with new of the Pre and webOS, you should already be aware that the Pre is speculated to soon be coming to Verizon...maybe even this month.

Wow! while I get the point of not liking captive carriers, I don't get the issues with Sprint. I have had verizon, t-mobile, cingular, pacbell wireless (who are these guys now??) and now Sprint. Frankly, it's the best coverage I've had.   I'm guessing each carrier will have its supporters & its detractors. I'd LOVE to have an iPhone on my Sprint network...(I think)... maybe I should ...

Hello!   First question is are you using O2 service with an O2 SIM card at home??  Second questions is have you tried creating a new Palm Profile at that screen?  You do need a Palm Profile to use the Pre.  Keep me posted.

I have a Palm Pre with Movistar in Spain. Reception is weak and often zero. Side by side with iPhone and SonyEricsson K810i reception of Movistar signal on Pre is always one bar less and very often fails to have any reception at all when other phones show 3 to 4 bars. The problem is persistent in several areas of the country (the coast, Madrid, Avila). It is especially obvious when ...

That's up to you.

Hello Kryptik and welcome to the Palm forums.    There is no way wthat I'm aware of to change the software on your Treo in the manor you are talking about.  I would suggest that you bring the phone to a local Verizon store and see if their tech can unlock the phone so it can work on the Verizon Wireless network.  I was under the impression that Altel was purchased by Verizon Wireless ...

Hello!   When you turn the radio on, does it give you error pop-up for SIM card not found?  In your phone info, can you give me the first 3 numbers in the SA#?  Thanks!

Hello!   If you SIM card says Cingular on it then you need to get a new one.  Go to your local ATT store for a new SIM card.  These new cards are Hybrids that work on both ATT locked and Cingular locked phones.

are you able to pair the two devices via bluetooth?  there was this phonelink updater that the previous palm OS devices was using that will allow you to communicate with a bluetooth phone to call or browse the web using the phone's data service.  it can be downloaded at http://kb.palm.com article # 14998   LG CU515 is listed as one of the supported devices but just try to use ...
