No, you can only sync to one database at a time. Plus it is not suggested switch back and forth constantly due to you can corrupted data.

IN SUMMARY :  (I have a treo 650)    1. Palm desktop 6.2 and quicktime installed onto Windows Virtual PC: Windows XP mode in Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit.  This worked well. One has to open the virtual XP mode (it's like a remote desktop window), then hit "USB": attach device at the top of the screen everytime after hitting the hotsync button. I haven't been able to find a file structure for stuff saved within...

Thanks (again) Wyrenut.  Have done all above but while it seems happy enough to Sync Expenses and create a backup on the PalmDesktop, it doesn't sync my Date Book and Address Book into PalmDesktop - even though they're all checked to sync Handheld to Desktop in the Hotsync manager. Any (further) thoughts ?  Sorry...

Somehow I got Outlook to sync with the Palm although the data is far from complete--if there is more than one phone number on Outlook it only transfers one, and the email is in a phone number field, but it did sync in some fashion.     I will stop for now because I dont want to corrupt anything and limp along with the limited functionality.     Thank you for helping me take it from where it was b4 to a better level of functioning.

The problem with WiFi is the static nature of the solution. If a person travels with their laptop, then this setup will not work because it has to be configured every time one would want to sync on the road. The other issue, is one of cost while on the road. At a hotel with free WiFi this might be ok but probably not because on a public network, you do not want to share your files or folders. If your at a paid location, you would need to pay...

Hello mrs_rmarcus and welcome to the Palm forums.    Do you know if your Windows 7 PC is running a 32-bit or 64-bit edition of Windows?  If you are running a 64-bit version of software, you will want to read through this thread for ideas on how you might be able to resolve this issue.   Alan G

The m500 is not supported with Palm Desktop 6.2.2. What version of Palm Desktop are you using?   Are you sync'ing with Palm Desktop or Outlook?   There is a work around though 3rd party software that is free. It is called "PalmHotSyncSetup" from http://www.pimlicosoftware.com/ .

Hi,   Docs to go was set to do nothing I think. It would go through a few things, then get to the calendar, then the animated icon would stop moving as if it had got stuck halfway through   Its driving me crackers. I looked up some other forum entries, and someone said to dlete offline items in outlook. I did that, and that has wiped my whole outlook calendar!!!

Since your 650 cannot use Wifi (unless you can find an old, no-longer made device called an "Enfora Sled"), your only options are BlueTooth & IrDA.  Infra-red (IrDA) is the slowest.   I've not personally used this setup, so I can't give any recommendations.  I have seen a few posts recommending IOGear products at the top of this section in the "sticky" threads, but the one you linked ...

Yes it will - did this just yesterday. Reloaded Desktop 4 w HotSync. Plugged cradle serial cable into back of PC (COM1). Changed all parameters to COM1. remember to look at HotSynce icon in tray - mine was set to USB and needed to change it to Serial. Finally cranked up the HotSync and it WORKED !! Took a looong time, but it worked.

You're looking for a "Serial to USB" adapter.  Yes, they do exist and are made by many manufacturers.   Your next hurdle - what OS is on the new computer?  Is it a 32bit system, or 64bit?  If the latter, you have a whole new host of problems, and the above adapter will not work!   WyreNut

Is there anything in Quick Install? If not look for   XP C:\Program Files\Palm or Palm One\[hotsync username]\Install C:\Palm\[hotsync username]\Install C:\Program Files\Handspring\[hotsync username]\Install   If there is any more folder look in them all and remove the file that could be causing the issue.

You will need to perform a hard reset on the m500 and then sync it to the hot sync user name that belonged to the z22.   A hard reset wipes everything off your palm. It is performed by holding down the power button while sticking something thin (paper clip) into the back reset hole of your device. Keep your hand on the power button while you release the paper clip from the reset hole...

Your options are very limited. The only option you would have is to perform an IR sync. You can find a thread on it here http://forums.palm.com/palm/board/message?board.id =windows_hotsync&thread.id=36872 You will need to acquire an IR to USB dongle to conduct the sync.

Hello Joe. At present, Palm is working on an update, however there is no word on when it might be released for download. If you need to sync your Treo with Microsoft Outlook 2007 right now, you can always purchase a copy of Chapura PocketMirror Standard or Professional as it does support Outlook 2007. You can get an over view of the Chapura software here . For the latest info on Palm's Vista ...

Hi, and welcome to the Palm Support Community. Solution depends on whether your Vista desktop is 32-bit or 64-bit.  Please browse through the "stickied" threads in the top section of this board where you will see a thorough discussion of Vista and Palm Desktop issues.
