Michael25, to "delete everything and start over" you need to perform a "Hard Reset". To perform a Hard Reset: (Palm Knowledgebase article #887) http://kb.palm.com/wps/portal/kb/common/article/887_en.html While pressing and holding the Power button down, tap and release the Reset button in back and continue to hold the Power button down. When the grey Palm logo appears, you can release the Power button. You should now...

You will need Windows Mobile device Center(WMDC), located here: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/en-us/downloads/microsoft/device-center-download.mspx As far as the setup a DUN(dial up networking) connection on Windows 7, we are unsure how it would work. You can try these steps and see if they work for you or not. http://kb.palm.com/wps/portal/kb/na/treo/t850/sprint/solutions/article/40995_en.html Palm as not done any testing...

Ok, here are the instructions for the "clean" uninstall for Vista. You should first make a copy of your data to have just in case something happens. You can find your data files by going to Start --> Documents --> Palm OS Desktop. Highlight your Palm Desktop username and right click and copy. Then go to your PC desktop right click on a blank spot and select paste. If this is the first time you are installing...

Thanks Alan G, You got it, thanks for the info. I dont mind the way my palm is set up, I just though when I had to install WMD 6.1 that it would update the palm. I had an old palm zire 31 which was just a PDA and I had the calender with that and I liked it. As I am not a big fan of the new outlook, I realy olny use outlook for the calenser and scheduler, which I use a lot. Does Palm not have this for the treo 700wx? Thanks, Cuddlescanada.

Just to be clear, you installed Windows Mobile Device Center, or WMDC for short, 6.1 on your computer. That software is used to sync a Windows Mobile device with Windows Vista and Windows 7 with Outlook installed. Your Treo 700wx, for Bell Mobility, has come preinstalled with Windows Mobile Professional 5. To the best of my knowledge, there is no Palm software update for the Bell version of the Treo 700wx that will bring it up to...

Hi, I have had no problem in transferring files either with Quick Install or with a card reader direct to my SD, in the latter case I can create folders and group for example all books by the same author, however as soon as I install the card back on the E-2 the folder disappears and gets broken down again into single files, I can not believe that there is no way to organize your files in groups but that seems to be the case. Imagine having...

The exact information is found someonewere on this site. I also recall it had to do with how many sync names you have, as well, I recall a problem with somone haveing mutiply users on one computer and this affected there maxium number of contacts the palm desktop...

This is a progress report. I know have one Palm that synchronizes, at least it pretends to. The desktop screen shows that the equipment is updating one file at a time (16 of them including Address, Memo pad, etc), there is a message that the sync was successful, the log says everything is okay. However, the data doesn't transfer whether I tell it to let the handheld override (I put quick entires into each of the functions: address,...

Hello WyreNut, Thank you very much for your reply. Of course I meant PalmOS.....instead of Symbian.....oh well you know women and computers..... I don't think I will try something that may potentially damage my Treo. Therefore I shall (as you suggest) contact the supplier of the dictionary and see if we can come to some kind of agreement.... On the other hand I think it is kind a strange, that Palm does not offer some kind of converting...

First let me say sorry if I missed your post in the other thread, From what your describing it seems like we have three routes we can go from here. 1. Which I think might resolve the issue. Change your computer date to one month from today. Reopen palm desktop. If palm desktop opens fine then the cause of the problem is an event that spans past midnight is causing palm ...

Palm Desktop is not designed to work in this manor as you already know. As a suggestion keep settings the way they are now on the Vista PC but install Palm Desktop normally on the XP PC. If any errors happen what you can do ( with Palm Desktop closed ) is copy the contents of the data and paste them under XP C:\Program Files\Palm or Palm One\[hotsync username] C:\Palm\[hotsync ...

If you have upgraded to PD 6.2 and the Palm folder backup is from an earlier version of Palm desktop, you will need to revert back to that version. You will need to "clean" uninstall Palm dekstop 6.2.2 and re-install the previous version you had installed. Once that version is installed, make sure you leave Palm desktop closed, copy the Palm folder into program files, open Palm desktop ...

Hello cuddlescanada and welcome to the Palm forums. What carrier is your phone for? I just checked the Tellus Mobility and Bell Canada support pages for the Treo 700wx and I did not see a Palm download for the Windows Mobile 6 upgrade. Where did you get the upgrade from? Did you run the upgrade on your PC? You can confim the version of Windows Mobile that is on your phone by ...

You can try an uninstall and reinstall of Palm Desktop software but the version that is supported and works is Palm Desktop 6.2. If I may ask did you try this version? If so what happened to where you installed version 4.1.4?

Hello inge2, Welcome to the Palm Support Community. Quick Install does not have the ability to transfer folders. Easiest way to transfer large amounts of files to an SD card is using a Card Reader with your computer. That said, you will have to determine where to place the folder on the SD card. Docs To Go may require a specific place to put a sub-folder (the /Documents folder...

Greetings iAhilesik, and Welcome to the Palm Support Community. Your E2 already has PalmOS Garnet version 5.4 installed on it. I'm afraid you might be looking at the version of the Launcher, or the "Applications" version. To find your OS version, tap the Menu from the Launcher screen, then "Info". Now tap the "version" button at the bottom. "PalmOS Garnet 5.4" should now be ...
