Same here. I have video that played fine until I updated to 1.3.1. Now I get the "There was an error playing this file." I've tried to delete and re-load but, I get the same message.

It won't let me save more than thirty... It's super frustrating, cause I really need to use the cam tonight, and the quick picture taking ability is one of the driving factors behind buying this phone for me...  No work around yet?

Well I got onto Palm Support about this.   I did a soft reset - hold down the power button and flick the ringer switch 3 times.   So far so good.   I'll keep you posted. Let us know if it works for you.

I have a question about Goetagging photos. How do we use this data? What apps do we need to view/use this stored data if it's there? I have seen nothing on the phone that uses Geotag info.

Hello cyberkidva, I don't know what promotional materials you were reading, but according to page 119 of the Pre user guide, this is what it says:   You can play music that you copy from your computer or stream from the Web in the following formats: MP3, AAC, or AAC+ format. For files received as email attachments, you can play files in the MP3, AAC, AAC+, WAV, AMR, or QCLEP format. ...

What in the world is a "scan disk device"???  :/    Are you talking about a Card Reader/USB card reader?   All you have to do is copy and paste DRM-free (no copy protection) mp3's into the /AUDIO folder on the card.  Easy as pie!    If you can't do this, why not?  Any error messages?   WyreNut

Hello seminol982 and welcome to the Palm forums.    What version of Palm webOS does you have installed on your Pre?  The latest update is version 1.2.1 which was released earlier this weekend.   I have applied, separately, the webOS 1.2.0 and the 1.2.1 updates this week and I haven't had any trouble playing uncopy protected music files or videos on my Pre.   If you did apply one ...
