Not a new direction for the Pistons. They were there before the trade that made them contenders in 2004. This season reminds me of 2001 - 2003.

In doing some research on JJ I found this picture from June 2008 It's pretty impressive to see the amount of bulk he has put on in a year and a half, he almost looks like Austin Daye in that picture

not much of a difference. both are foul prone, bring energy and can get buckets if u keep ur eyes open for them. amir looks better on help D and jerebko looks better on man-to-man. it's a toss-up for me.

In less than one quarter of the season he's already proven that he has the respect of his players simply because of how hard they play and how focused they remain on both the gameplan night in and night out and the team first mentality.
