Indian Mascots

I want to put this out there for what its worth. The Native American tribes that existed here, long before European settlers arrived, weren't exactly living in perfect harmony together. They were doing the exact same things to each other, but the Europeans get all the blame because they were more effective. Native tribes warred, were pillagers, were slavers, and pushed their tribal territories borders. Like I said, these things we have...

^^^^ I was about to make that same point. The Aztecs conquered all the neighboring tribes. But the Europeans would've struggled had small pox and other European-born diseases hadn't been so effective at killing native americans. As Native Americans eventually acquired guns, and mastered horseriding (horses not native to americas) in a short time. They could've been a formidable foe had their numbers not been reduced so...

I imagine if she started a Biggie thread, some p.com poster might get into some beef with a cat from the west coast and get shot up.

Red skin is very racist. Indians isn't, but their mascot/logo sure the hell is. Then, so is the "Fighting Irish," but you don't hear anything about that. There are names like Seminoles, which I feel are fine. It depends upon your point of view though. From what I remember, these teams were named this in honor of the people who were/are nearly wiped out or something like that.

For A James Cameron movie, the CGI looks pretty terrible. Maybe 1 step up from the new Star Wars crap, and on par with that horrific CGI in the Spiderman trilogy. A pity too, because the movie actually looks like it has a plot, and the CGI wouldn't be such a distraction if they would have just made the whole movie a cartoon instead of the humans being live-action.

I can and do live off of cash. I have a credit it card but I carry no balance. I hardly ever use it and I haven't needed it really for years. I don't need it because I have a $2000 emergency fund that I never touch unless I really need it. Like for repairs on cars, healthy care costs and what not. Like you, I have a Car Loan, Home Loan and Student Loans and those are the only things I will...
