http://www.caa.co.uk/docs/175/srg_fc...prof_09_10.pdf So for myself while maintaining an ATPL, SEP, 2 turbine type ratings and a FI. It would be £132 pounds every 5 years for the license. FI rating as such you wouldn't pay to have but every three years you would need a flight test at £160 plus aircraft or do a 2 day course or both. Again for the 2 type ratings and SEP rating I pay nothing to have them revalidated and sit on my license...

I believe that when single pilot aeroplanes (right hand on stick and left hand on throttle(s)) became too big for the pilot to be seated on the centreline he migrated to the left side so that the throttles/engine levers quadrant could be side-wall mounted, thus a space was created on the right for bomb-aimer access to the nose, and seat the other crew member (initially nav, then second pilot). BOAC, in addition to the balance issue, the...

And another type: The B767-200 has Flaps 1 certified for takeoff, that being LEDs only, with the TE flaps firmly in the up position. Used frequently at long hot fields with a heavy aircraft. Not certified on the -300 series, though.

No data on Aeroweather...normally reliable. Why on earth do you want to go anywhere near Khartoum anyway? (Joking for the PC among you, we all know that no-one sane wishes to go anywhere near Sudan unless work requires it)

Best job search website?
Published (2009-12-06 00:31:00)
Hey guys, I have been a member on climbto350, avjobs, and feel that when I (and the rest of you) apply to a job posting that employers are flooded with resumes and probably don't get through 10% of them. Heard about findapilot.com and was wondering if anyone has any feedback before I shell out another 70 bucks?

Has anyone had any experience using SELCALL with VHF frequencies? I know most of you have had HF SELCALL use and just recently I had a question about use with VHF frequencies. Where and what were the conditions and circumstances of its use?
Thanks!

No METAR available.

Just an educated guess but if it was an older type of recorder, that used magnetic tape as a recording medium, it is probably to prevent damage/degradation of the tape when it dries out.
Keeping it immersed would allow the tape to be removed and treated/dried in a controlled environment, minimising tape damage and potential data loss.
I stand ready to be corrected....

I think you will find that he only went on the flight deck while the aircraft was on the ground?? I find it very hard to believe that he would be allowed in there during flight. Someone correct me if I'm wrong......

Your not the first or will be the last to convert from the Swedish CAA. Most if not all of the Swedish pilots I have flown with have converted. Usually the first time they have to pay through the nose for their IR revalidation. All the Brits get their's signed by the TRE and don't pay a penny.
The British CAA for all there faults are pretty good at recognising all other states examiners and ...

Hello all.
Will shortly be applying for my CPL having completed my skills test on a MEP aircraft and completed my ME/IR skills test. Have 1 or 2 questions which I'm a bit unsure of at the mo due to the wonders of LASORS and was hoping you could clarify for me.
1) Will my CPL be valid from the date of license issue or the date of the skills test? I'm obviously hoping it's the former as it ...

Not very expensive really I'd imagine; all you need to do it take the seats out, and perhaps the toilet if one is installed. Then you have to decide what type of cargo you want to carry and configure a tie down arrangement. I have seen tie-downs in the seat rails used with nets for low weight/high volume cargo. If your cargo is heavy- high density then floor loading limits become and ...
