I don´t see many of these. I´d say, in the past few years every operator tried to sell an airplane and then manage it on their AOC,...

I believe the post that have been removed where actually apporiate for the person in question. Every one knew he is OK from the crash except for his latino pride. He is one of those persons that knew everything and always criticized everyone elses decision making. If he did not like a fellow worker he was really hard on them and bad mouthed them. So what goes around comes around! Do not jump to conclusions so fast if you do not know the person...

Universal vs Baseops Thanks for all of your responses. Foxy, I'll contact you in the next few days. Does anyone have any thoughts on Universal vs. Baseops? I expect to receive a proposal from Baseops, and have been told by them that they'll offer substantial savings as compared to Universal. Thoughts on service level, location relationships, etc.? Thanks.

While the touchscreen controls look like a huge improvement in ease of use over anything else on the market, I hope they have stress tested them to the max. Turbulence anyone? As for comparing the G3000 to the Proline 21, apples to oranges. The G3000 is a fantastic, easy to use, amazingly useful General Aviation GPS . The 21 is an integrated FMS.

Simulator. Period. Especially for a first TR. The sim training allows you to simulate a lot of emergencies that connot safely be simulated in an aircraft. Smoke in the cockpit, decompressions, etc. Yes, you can simulate an engine out by pulling one engine back to idle. But it is potentially more dangerous in the real aircraft and only somewhat realistic. In the sim you can have unwanted...

I guess it depends on a number of circumstances.. What is against low operating costs, a new airframe and passenger comfort that is most probably not being reached by competition (CJ1 etc.)? If you can finance it on cheap money this would be the best time.

My company uses Universal for most of its handling needs, and flies primarily to western Europe from the east coast of the US. Does anyone have any thoughts specifically on reducing costs using other handlers versus our current Universal? Any recommendations on specific handlers that you would recommend as obtaining the best pricing? Thanks.
