hello po newbie lang ako and ang dami ko na natutunan sa forum na to.. pasensya na pero hindi ko lang masyado maintindihan kung ano ang downside ng lumpsum amount. dahil ba malaki din ang ibababa ng value pag bumaba ang per share? pano kung lumpsum and then magdadagdag monthly.. nasa dubai kasi ako ngayon and magbabakasyon ako next week...gusto ko sana mag open ng isang equity and isang balanced fund... between equity, pumipili ako between...

hi sonia!   actually, walang downside ang lumpsum amount.  it just means na mas marami ka agad mabibili na shares kasi isang bagsakan ang investment mo.  it doesnt have anything to do with increase or decrease of share price bec share price is dictated by the market.  kung mababa pa nga ang presyo per share, mas pabor talaga sa iyo.   kung magdagdag ka every month, mas advantageous sa iyo bec that means buying more shares and increasing...

@rod i thinks so but i'm not sure though. sila rainmen & freedom na makakasagot dyan. all i know is MF's are professionally managed and invested in good stocks. so you really don't have to worry. just place it long term.
