It's probably best at this point if you go to a java forum to find knowlegeable help with all of this. Also the Oracle forums are excellent, as are Oracle's white papers on their own technologies, so you could well find a lot of the information you are after via the Oracle part of the technology stack.

I'm thinking you've got something set up wrong since what you're describing, just shouldn't be happening. If you connect to your own ISPs SMTP server (e.g. outgoing.verizon.net) then whatever ISP you're currently using to get internet access (GoGo, Verizon, Comcast, etc.) it shouldn't matter. You're not using their SMTP server, you're using verizons, and the network traffic looks normal. Now, you may...

I am at home. Incoming and outgoing mail server are the same ISP. (verizon) Now, I go on the road, connecting through ISP "X" with my family in Chicago, or an airport in Seattle, etc. - I send an email out, and the response is "Relaying denied" - I'm surpised you've never experienced that. AND I certainly don't want to have to learn the mailserver password for a bunch of ISP's however...

Is a dating site an Ecommerce site?
Published (2009-11-20 11:16:00)
I created an international dating website mostly for western men and eastern women. But I am not sure from where the benefits could be. "Join for free" is to attract more people to become the members, but after, no one would love to pay for a membership. Is it an Ecommerce business? And how to make the business? Here it is my site, ECL Europe China Love . it looks not bad because some people came join it, but nothing I could...

getting past an ISP when i"m away from the office
Hi There,
This is really not a PHP related post but I'm here all the time so it's a good place to ask
when I'm at home I can send and receive email in thunderbird. But, because 99% of all other ISP's will not allow relaying (understandable), when I'm away I can only receive mail....

I've been presented with a long-term project opportunity that demands the following:

b. Java JDK 1.5
c. Web Logic as the web server
d. Spring and Hibernate frameworks
Has anyone here used these before? I've coded Java before but not using these ...

I advise against dating software. For one, software can't drive so you'll be the one who has to pick software up; and it will probably be late as usual. On the upside most software doesn't talk, so as a guy I find that a good attribute. Some software requires that you pay for it, so its not really dating...its something else Moreover, oftentimes you'll find that software only works ...

If you're going that small, take a look at the Rackspace Cloud and their cloud servers. You can upgrade your server as needed. I'm currently playing around with one that is 512 MB of ram. It's fairly quick and does what it should. And if I ever need more umph, I can just upgrade whenever I feel. And because I pay for what I use, I can keep my monthly cost to under $20.
It's not a ...

:-( I dont get it. I think I have been programming for too long.
The only apostrophe joke I ever liked was one I heard a script(?) writer say years ago, but I dont know their name.
It went along the lines of:
Quote:
I spend half the day putting an apostrophe in, and then the other half taking it out
It was related to a question of "...
