romantic.exe and forever.exe

I seem to have picked up some sort of problem, possibly via using my flashdrive at work. I have found files called and/or linked to "romantic.exe" and "forever.exe" which are copying and multiplying ??? I am using Spyware Doctor with AntiVirus which is updated regularly and it's not picking up any problems. Any suggestions? Thanks Chris

Boot your system to the last good configuration. Hit F8 at boot time. Make sure that you download only from pctools.com.

When this is running, what is the location of the file? I assume it is an exe. Have you searched for it in the registry? If you have CCleaner, run the cleaner and registry. If you do not have it, get it from filehippo.com, it is free. CCleaner can also manager your startups. See if you can delete it from there.

RegistryMechanic is not a malware cleaner. AVG is a so so product. Try cleaning with Malwarebytes Antimalware and Avira Antivirus. Both are free and top notch standalone scanners. Temporarily disable AVG first.
