Could you please do the following:
1. Restore - make sure the problem is fixed (if it is fixed, this means RM removed something from your PC).
2. Run another scan with RM -> and this time do not repair
3. Attach the log file with your next reply (located \Program Files\
Registry Mechanic\log folder)
Could you also confirm whether you can recreate the problem everytime? Does it occur ...

This is definitely not right and I have never seen this problem before.
Where are the 2 files located? Are they in the Registry Mechanic folder?
Have you tried uninstalling RM? to see if it removes the files? because RM should not be creating these files...

The reason why we have not added this feature is because it works like a
double edged sword. Users may want to restore all with a check all button, but some users may accidentally remove all instead and this could have major implications.

Could you provide a screenshot of the error message you are receiving?
We just tested RM on a Vista SP2 but could not recreate the problem.

Because Registry Mechanic is not updated regularly like security software programs we have decided not to implement this. I will add another feature request for this however for future builds.

My version 9 never gets going. The first thing I see it the "
loading?" screen (I don't know what else to call it) and then the Vista error box...
