I am able to access Yahoo mail using the AOL browser but not using IE 7. I had been using an AOL dialup connection prior to getting Comcast Broadband and did not have this problem. As Comcast uses Internet Explorer as their primary browser, I naturally shifted to IE 7 which I rarely used previously. I get disconnected from the Internet almost immediately after Mail page opens. ...

You can try tools, internet options, advanced, reset. If this does not work you may have to uninstall ie8 and ie7 and re-install ie8. If ie7 does not uninstall, just re-install ie8. I had something sililar a while back and had to re-install ie8 to get things back to normal.

You shouldn't be running Windows One Care and Norton together. Actually One Care has been discontinued, probably because it was close to worthless. Try a scan with Malwarebytes Anti-malware and see if that clears it up.
