Sorry D should have clarified. My local shop has around 15 different models in differing shapes and configurations. Some have triple fans some double fans and a couple have massive single fans. Are they all much of a muchness or is there any particular feature I should look for or avoid? I keep burning my crown jewels so I really need something to keep the heat off.

One way to track down the problem child is to shut off everything in msconfig, then add them back in one at a time until the problem recurs. That last program restarted will be the one causing the shutdown hang.

You can try updating the bios and drivers if you have not already. Also, did this prolem occur from the get go or after a few days of running it? I would not suggest opening it up if you plan on returning it under warrenty.

While this is true, the way it does it, is it will move all files to a folder on your drive C named old files. You can still access them, but they wont be part of your new OS, you still need to ...
