if it's an .img file than you shouldn't need to change it, simply use imgburn for .img file.

Did you download it? It will tell you the temps... Normal should be around 31 to 35c (idle) not doing anything..Some temps are lower than that but thats good for idle temps...

Is this a store bought machine or one you put together?? If it's from a store, I'd take it back if it's under warranty. Sounds like it's time for a Windows Repair......

Sorry D should have clarified. My local shop has around 15 different models in differing shapes and configurations. Some have triple fans some double fans and a couple have massive single fans. Are they all much of a muchness or is there any particular feature I should look for or avoid? I keep burning my crown jewels so I really need something to keep the heat off.
