Try this. Select all the thumbnails, right-click, choose "Refresh thumbnail" from the context menu.

Hello. Windows 7 (W7) has different "special" folders for Documents, Pictures, and a few others. I have several large zipped icon files. Should I decompress these files, store their .ico/.bmp contents in the Pictures library folder, and recompress them (not in a group with .zip extensions, but using the "Compress Folders" checkbox on their Properties sheet? What I'm asking is whether W7...

Thanks, Neil This morning all the thumbnails were displayed correctly . . . Magic! . . . I didn't have to do anything. I'll remember "Refresh thumbnail" in case it happens again.

gadi_sam: In my c:\Windows folder (Windows XP SP2) there are about 200 subfolders named $NtUninstallKB xxxxxx$, where the xxxxxx stands for some combination of digits. They all contain the file spuninst.exe and some more files, and I know it means "service pack uninstall".

For the most part, increasing the amount of virtual memory won't make any difference in your gaming performance. Besides, Windows automatically resizes the swapfile/pagefile as needed. It's usually best to just leave it on autopilot.
