Its Web-browsing vulpine sibling may get all the attention, but Mozilla's other product, the Thunderbird open-source e-mail client, has its own devout following, and has now taken flight with a new version. Thunderbird 2 was strictly for power users, but version 3 changes all that. It's as simple as pie, having cut down on the number of toolbar options and simplified mail account setup. It also adds tabs and archiving. Based on the...

Being this particular computer is a Costco item, wouldn't it be difficult to find this model with this configuration anywhere else? If this is the case, then this computer would be available to those for whom a B&M Costco is within reasonable driving distance. For others who do not have a Costco anywhere near them, this review, then, is moot. Correct me if I am wrong.

Really, Jaime, I am confused. You blame the Redfly for not giving full 800x480 resolution, yet you confess that the BB is only providing 480-by-360. (I imagine Celio would love to magically expand the rez on the BB, if RIM provided that support as did Microsoft.) You blame the Redfly because onscreen items aren't active for the cursor--maybe if the BB supported that. as it should external storage ... On the other hand, you compliment the...

FYI too...Apple TV does not support Windows 7, I spoke to an apple tech on that and it seems maybe next year some time they may offer it.  I got the impression they are in no hurry.

Unfortunately, the review misses the real weakness of Quickbooks: Intuit's software support is horrible (I don't mean accounting questions, but actual IT-type questions like getting it to work on a network). The people who answer support calls don't speak understandable English nor do they have the technical expertise to help with anything more than how to put the CD into your computer. There is no meaningful on-line support....

On  Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard, I've recently gone back to using Thunderbird 3.0 instead of Apple Mail. This is because my main email account is through Google Apps/Gmail, and I think Thunderbird is the best stand-alone desktop client for Gmail over IMAP, period. Mozilla Messaging "gets" Gmail and provides a lot of features in Thunderbird that integrate with Gmail and support its features quite nicely. I find that...

Has anyone tested to see how this works on a regular 4:3 TV? That's what I watch most of my TV on and I don't plan on getting a wide screen TV in the near future.
