kellykids5: How do I know which files are safe to delete? I wouldn't touch any file in Windows folder, but your data files may be safe - usually mp3, mp4, jpg, gif, avi) files may be safe (although these can be photos or videos that you may want top keep). As a rule of thumb, I wouldn't delete any file I don't know what is it for. You can move the files to another drive. That way the files would be kept and you would...

Startup Cop Pro 5 - double entry...

In Vista SP1 64 bit, I had to do 2 installs of a program that did not seem to take on the first install.  It did not show up in startup cop even though it is supposed to be a startup item and it did not show as installed in Vista's "Programs and Features".  There was not a process running in Task Manager either.  There was no requirement to restart after the install. After the second install...

Now that I'm upgrading to a new WIndows 7 machine, I need to move it over, but I can't find my install file. Is it still available? Of course, there's a very good chance it won't run in Windows 7 on a 64-bit machine. If that's the ...

Chance occurances such as sunny day shadows (breezy sunny days are the worst), rain or lightning will give you lots and lots of false alarms. So, keep the camera pointed to the inside of your ...

MurrayEisenberg: In case a moderator or editor reads this... It would be a considerable service if a list were readily available telling which of the PC Magazine utilities are compatible with Windows 7. Yes, it would be good, but also a lot of time to test every single utility we have. I don't even have Windows 7 yet. :) Tim
