kimandandy: It is suggested you continue taking DCI if you get pregnant to continue helping your body function properly. Besides it's pretty much a B-vit (tecnically a human metabolite) which is water soluble so if you get too much your body will just flush the excess. Although I highly doubt we will give our bodies too much since our bodies get rid of it too quickly and don't produce enough in the first place. framin_memories: All...

Good luck to you! I don't know your history, but I am a pcos sufferer as well..it is a tough road. It does alot to not only our bodies, but our minds as well. But there is hope for us to acheive motherhood..just look around and read all the success stories. I am 34 years old and not about to give up. Is there anything else that you have tried? herbally? Do you chart your BBT's? and have you verified that you are NOT ovulating?

Maylove, I definitely get and agree what you are saying about taking info with a grain of salt (we should all do this for sure). Thankfully DCI has a growing evidence supporting its use for PCOS. Don't let one bad experience turn you way, this is a great website where women with PCOS can get support/info and I hope you find the support that you need.

Hi guys! I just got off birth control pills(for good i hope) and I am getting myself prepared for the problems that I had before. I am sure they will all come back with a vengeance in a couple weeks. I just started inositol and choline. I am planning to take licorice and peony for acne and what not. any success with licorice? Other than that, is there any natural remedy to combat heavy/frequent periods? Before birth control I got my period...

Just wanted to update this thread: I've been taking iodoral 12.5mg twice a day for almost 3 months and have seen ZERO improvement in fertility or anything else for that matter. Time is all I have ...

4 weeks on DCI--- 1200 mg (even though I am a larger girl and could take more, but can't afford it). Changes observed- decreased hair growth over entire body, increased energy, decreased appetite (even though that doesn't stop me from eating all the time), BBT fairly level between the high 96's and 97's. I haven't observed a O yet, just stopped spotting for the past 6 weeks so I feel like my ...

Hi Kattie, Everything your taking looks awesome. Are you taking any insulin sensitizers? If you don't want to take Metformin, Cinnamon is supposed to be a great natural alternative. Most women I've seen on here take about 2000 mg. You may also want to read previous threads on Vitex, many have found it helps regulate. Also, I would suggest adding some Vitamin D3 as well. 2000units is ...

Well that's gotta be a good thing, right? I'd love to hear how you get on. I took an inositol powder for however long it took me to go through the little container when I first heard about it, before I read everything thoroughly and realised it was DCI in the studies (at that point), but didn't really notice anything. Perhaps it wasn't long enough, or perhaps I was just too busy to notice ...
