Having done some searching and digging round all the multitudes of mobo's, proc's etc I was thinking of a farm but given the cost of todays kit it made sense to sell that on and get a dedicated new rig..... So, any suggestions for a rig to just do folding?? Have read a few posts about multi GPU rigs with 8800GT's in em with 6600 OC'd, any suggestions?

Hi, Running GPU folding with WinXP on a dual core PC. Also running rosetta@home. I've checked the 'do not lock cores to specific cpu' box, which is supposed to allow Fahcore to use any cpu core to work with.. *BUT* I find that when I right click fahcore_11.exe in task manager and go into 'set affinity', a lot of the time it has only one core checked. I then check ...

After a break to get the system watercooled, a busted psu and other time constraints i am back! Still with the Q6600 and 8800gt. Q6600 now up an running @ 3.37ghz (more to come hopefully when i have time) and 8800gt overclocked as well. Installed the cpu client and all appears ok there. New Win SMP client seems a bit strange. 6.22beta one i mean. It only appears when both one single ...

Sooo if I'm going to rebuild this system, I might as well make it get me as many points as possible. Considering the following spec, what would be the best setup for me to go for? : Intel QX6800 @ stock (needs overclocking, but lack...

I have just fired up 4 clients on a Q6600 I have, I am going to add in two more on a e6600 and a Xeon 3065. I am struggling with understanding which GPU client I need as I have 2 4850's and a 9600GT waiting to go. Can anyone help with the GPU side of things please?
