Poor flow rate on my rig.

Running two pumps in series is a bad idea, stronger pump is likely to kill the weaker one. 2.6m head should be ample for the ek block (which does well with low pressure loops, what were you hoping to replace it with?), about my only guess is the pumps fighting resulting in a low head pressure. What happens to the flow if you turn one/other off?

OK, Kingstons site says 4-4-4-12 at 1.95v, but when you get the datasheet for it, it says 5-5-5-18 at 1.9v and 4-4-4-12 at 2v. So manually setting it as 4-4-4-12 at 1.95v like it says on the main page, how much more likely am i to receive data errors/ corruption etc? What i will do is go back into the BIOS, change the voltage to 2.0v and set the timings to auto again and see what everest and CPUZ say. Here's a SS of CPUZ and everest...

Im currently running 21x183 for 3.84ghz, turbo and ht enabled, if i7 is anything like s775, lowering the multi puts more strain on the memory controller (which is on the cpu on i7's) many of the i7 clocking guides ive read reccomend avoiding the 20x multi as its harder to get stable, i cant confirm this myself as i havent tried it yet.

I'm going to go slightly off-topic here and say that anyone who buys anything in the run-up to Christmas should expect to be ripped off stupid. Prices will drop in January, especially on new stuff. IT prices typically hit their bottom in May-August which is one reason why some much new stuff is launched in the summer - it helps keep stuff moving through stores. On the VAT increase you should only buy to beat the VAT increase if you have...

I only have one fan in my pc and its a noiseblocker S2 at 7v worth every penny if you only have 1 or 2. BUT they are case fans (do not use on rad/HS) GT on rads (YL's if you have a PA120.x rad) or so I'm told

Congrats on a wise choice. Told you they were good 800rpm for case should be fine but if you can't hear the 1450 why not just get more of them?

Thats definately on the warm side. Should be struggling to break 50C at stock and certainly no more than 70C in a decent case @ 3.8GHz.
The possible culprits are:
1. not cleaning the cooler and cpu contact areas with cleaning alcohol or similar so the paste cant do its job properly
2. the cooler isnt seated properly and is only making partial contact with the cpu.

I doubt it would be pointless - cooling is a serious problem in notebooks. If the temperature could be dropped significantly then i might actually buy one again some day...

Go to a local scrappies and get:
Car radiator (about a tenner... if it has a leak crack an egg in it)
Cooling pump (if you can find one)
Go to B&Q and get
Cheap pond pump (if you never found one at the scrappies)
Clear tubing
hose clips, and lots of them
Go to Staples and get:
Large desk fan
That just means that the coolant, blocks and barbs will be a bit pricey
Or you could...

you can't go wrong with the Akasa AK-FN057 and you will need this as well to connect them to the fans http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpr...tid=48&subc at=

Yes, the whole system should be full of water at all times.
If it's very noisy (not just pump whine) then itr just needs bleeding. This can take days to do right and basically it involves running the loop and gently shaking (shoogling is the Scottish word for it) the case until all the air comes out. The air will collect in the reservoir, so you need to keep topping that up.
Running the...

i cant see how this is managing to keep a 4ghz i7 at those temps with that vcore
a custom watercooing loop with a thermochill single rad and two fans in push pull is higher than that
must be a really really good product

Try using some washers on the screws ( 1 on each below the springs ) if it feels a little loose

This is at stock, right?
Main things which stand out are the fans and the cpu block, I think the former are the issue. Static pressure scales as the square of rpm, so the 1900rpm fans would be running at about 2.5 times the pressure of the 1200 rpm ones. The block I don't know much about except that I rarely see it recommended for i7 processors, no idea what performance hit you're taking ...

You may have to up the Vtt, North bridge volts a notch, i had to take both them off auto and set them manually to there lowest setting, or one notch up, from normal to get any sort of overclock on my E8400 on my P35 mobo.
Might be worth a shot.

Turn all the case fans off. Does it make more than 10C of difference to the chipset? I doubt it will. The CPU fan is drawing air from outside so that will be unaffected and everything else is pretty much immune from heat these days.
If you have two Akasa Apaches on the H50 daisychained off the CPU header and running in PWM mode then you will have two big fans pumping air into the case and ...
