My car is going to the scrapheap in the sky and i need some car advise... The car i need needs to be able to travel 80 miles on the daily commute (a-roads - 5 days a week) and be bloody cheap to run and use. My house payments limit me massively. So, do i buy new or second hand, i have a maximum of £7k to spend. So far i have seen Toyota Aygo, Fiat 500 - what could i get second hand ?...

I was foolish to think I could get a good Ford Focus for £1000 or near. That's more 1.25 Zetec Fiesta budget. But before I do dive in and buy a Fiesta (I'm desperate for a car, sick of commuting to work on the weekend. By car it takes 20 minutes. By train it takes 1hr 10 minutes ) I thought i'd look at a Rover 25. I noticed one thing: They're dirt cheap. My questions are: - How...

Finally did it, got myself a car VW Gold mk2, 1990. 137k on the clock. And the interior looks like its done 10k. Absolutly mint. Its the 1.6 'Driver'. £320 in the end. Plus £50 for new battery, and £35 for some new brake discs, brake pads and rocker cover gasket. Will take some more pictures when I get it home, at grandparents house until I make myself a drive (later today!)

Who's gonna be the champion then? BMWs are exempt as we all know that they are the fastest cars on the planet. They are so fast that to give other manufacturers are chance, they are limited to 155mph. Obviously you don't have to have driven at that cars top speed, just what it's capable of I'll enter with a Ferrari F355. 0-60: 4.7 seconds Top Speed: 183mph

Bargain for 60, only ridden once. Geeza sold it because of "cash flow problems" but it had trouble starting. Fuel pipe was kinked so i shortened that, and some fresh 2-stroke and she's running mint

Alot of anti-speed / speed kills brigade here so no doubt the will annoy some...but who cares Was just wondering how fast you have all traveled on road in last month...would be interesting to see just how 'sensible' we all really are. Though it means nothing other than increasing size of epeen on the internet traveling fast at times is dam useful. - get to destination fast - win...

It looked sound, Full service history, clean and low mileage ( 42k) I brought it from a dealer who gave me a three month warranty. Two days later it went back with a noise from the rear, which was sorted. - A Month later I ...

I thought I’d wait until the police had finished their info gathering and finger print dusting today before posting about this (not that it matters as it turns out)… Basically I got up yesterday morning, went to kwik fit to get my tyre pressures pumped up (stations near here all charge for air and kf is 10 seconds down the road!). I noticed no marks on the car then and neither did the guy who...

Hi all, Just been put forward for a job, which...if I get I will be travelling 220miles a week backwards + forwards to work. Along with the high possibility of going to Manchester + Surrey once or twice a week. So basically, I might be needing something cheap and economical and good for motorways. Not sure on budget, if the company will pay my additional for petrol then I'll ...
